An amazing day condensed into about 5 minutes. **If you want to complain about music, just don't. I didn't have much footage to work with.** To everyone else, I really hope you enjoy the views!!
This clip brings back fond memories of flying (with pilot-parents) the family Seabee to Tsuniah Lake in British Columbia. I've been tempted to get a seaplane rating...Amy's clip only adds avgas to the fire. Thanks for posting this, Amy.
This is an amazing video with amazing footage. Wow. I'm glad you didn't have a ton of footage. It looks like you were having an amazing time. Sometimes it's just nice to chill and not have cameras rolling. Thanks for sharing.
So cool, we were just over on your side of the state flying around the islands. Drove 20 over, looked very similar to what you were flying in. So beautiful. Thanks for your videos.
Yay! I wasn't expecting another video from you for a bit after the Woodstock walkaround, but this is *gorgeous*... and yes, after doing all the healing, it's good to just get out and *enjoy*... looking forward to more!
Beautiful. .. Just beautiful. As an armchair pilot (only a few hours dual in gliders) I now feel the need to fire up the Seabee which I have in the sim and go flying to some mountain lakes! Thanks for sharing.
Hey Amy, when you and the Renegade left Arlington Saturday afternoon, I saw "Woodstock" for the first time when you flew over my house at the end of the runway. Been looking to see the new plane, and there you were. NICE afternoon in the PNW. Good job.
I was holding my breath a little bit there on short final when you dropped below the tree line and that big pine was just off the left wingtip. What a beautiful spot!
Amy, you are very fortunate to have gotten the opportunity to fly in a Lake and land/TO from water. I am 64 y.o. and still dreaming about flying in a Lake amphib. Awesome plane!! I haven't even landed/TO from water yet. Maybe your video will give me the impetus to get it done.
Wow, this is great Amy! A dream I might not ever get to realize. By the way, Woodstock is great and all, but I do miss the 150:) Thanks for all you do. God Bless!
I track your music clips so I can go back and listen to them later (Spotify, any other service). Your music has turned me on to new bands I have not listened to before. Great music and footage...totally subscribed and loving it! Thank-you!!
What a cool approach! It definitely sounded like a boat landing. Very cool! You've also got a lot of excellent footage there. Music fit it well. The air to air work with the amphibian was just great too.
My home airport KAWO! Love it! I'm going to use this video to convince my fiance to go on a flight for the first time. These are the scenes that will make her fall in love with aviation. And then Harvey Field, the airport I currently live by. Weird to see these on youtube for some reason.
Nice video, and I liked the music! I got my SES in a LA4-200, and had great fun. Always wondered how much difference the extra 50 hp of the Renegade would have made, as the 200 was a bit light.
Spent 3 days alongside fellow Webbed Flyers digging the pit latrine on top of the ridge, just above the beach. Hope it’s being used, instead of the bushes nearby. Glad to see the donated Red Kayak that I flew into Lake Isabel 10 years ago, strapped to a Glasair Sportsman, is still being enjoyed!
Years ago when I was in flight school there in Fort Pierce Florida hurricane Francis came through and decimated the facilities that built these aircraft just on the other side of the taxiway from us. It was such a tragic sight to see as they’re such a neat and unique aircraft I think this was the incident to put the aircraft a company out of business. I remember the day after the hurricane walking through our facilities at Pan Am international flight Academy and seeing the absolute devastation that was caused with destroying half of our fleet and then we walked across to the ramp and there was almost nothing left of this company.
The company is still around, although not manufacturing aircraft as far as I know. Just supporting the aging fleet with parts. The company was bought in 2002 by a sketchy investor and bought back by the current owner in 04. The company is currently based in NH. I remember in the 80s when the factory was at Kissimmee gateway airport. So cool to see em all lined up on the ramp.
darrellhay Cool! Snohomish is a wonderful airport! It’s so close to Arlington that I don’t go there much. But it’s really great and makes me think of the early days of aviation. Some really great people and planes are based there, too!
Luke Ference Thanks! I’ve made a couple flights to Concrete over the years to practice landings, but I never stopped and got out. Also, I’ve heard good things about their annual fly-in, but I’ve never attended. I’ll check it out.
That is the best thing I've watched today. Well, 2nd best...SpaxeX took first (sorry). But what a cool snippet of your adventure. Thank you for sharing.
Love your vids! I recently found your channel and have been watching all the vids. That is some spectacular scenery in this vid of the mountains and lakes. Where was it shot at?
OMG I have to have one of those! What's the stall speed with those VGs? SO? S1? Was that airport near the end Harvey? Looked like it. Great one, Amy. Loved it!
Great video, thanks! As far as music, it seems to me that making a video is similar to being PIC--music is your decision and viewers can fly with you (watch) or not. The entire video is your artistic package.
Wow, what an absolutely incredible area. Should put some water ski's on the back of the airplane and zoom around the lake a bit :) Reminds me of a lake in the Adirondacks in upstate NY. But that lake wouldn't support a take off. Was that a chartered flight?
