Today we will give our first impressions of in Lake Atitlán in Guatemala in Central America in September 2022. We challenge ourselves to see as much as possible of San Juan La Laguna and San Pedro La Laguna as we can in 24 hours.

Lake Atitlán is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Guatemala. It was voted one of the Seven Wonders of Central America by Imaginative Traveller. Lake Atitlan is Central America's deepest lake and was formed by a volcanic eruption approximately 84,000 years ago. There are over 10 different towns surrounding the lake. Some of them are named after the apostles of Jesus.
Any day we can be out on the water is a good day. But what really leveled up our 24 hours was experiencing the peaceful lake while on the water as well as observing the lake from the mirador. The early morning kayaking on the calm lake, while looking up at the volcanos, was a combination we will never forget. The creativity of the artists in San Juan to paint the walls and decorate the streets created a character for the town that we have not experienced before.

The lakes the mountain side with the clouds coming from the heavens are so majestic looking I could stay their and dream forever what a beautiful view just breathtaking on all levels katy seemed a little hesitant about taking the challenge but if anybody can do it then my money's on witytravels the absolute best at what they do so let's go team, and the puppy's that came to greet you how cute was that remember he's the guide for today so mucho love to him lol, and the locals are so talented loved the music they were making so relaxing and chilled and delfina making the beautiful patterns is just an unbelievable smart lady and the church with the mountains as the background what a beautiful view and the black beans are always definitely on my top ten food list the way I see it is if I am having black beans with anything then I am definitely having a good day, just saying and spanish food is my weekness again just saying and every camera shot every view is so incredible and I agree the manuscript was correct ya'll are definitely soulmates 100 % accurate in every way for life ♥️ and witytravels challenge was definitely conquered in every way this place looked like paradise from start to finish what an amazing adventure I could rewatch this all day witytravels how do you keep coming up with these masterpieces I am still stunned after what I just witnessed 10 ⭐ 's isn't good enough, you definitely took it too the next level thank's again witytravels 🔥 🔥

I really like the lake, looks mystical with those clouds rolling over the green mountains that surround it. You are on a roll when it comes to finding tasty looking local dishes! The chocolate cake that you went back for looked scrumptious. Gee whizz those tuk tuk's move fast, any faster there's a chance it might take off! Very relaxing and peaceful out there on the lake, well until that boat came past 😆. I don't blame you for forsaking the challenge for that viewpoint - it was the right decision any day of the week. Lake Atitlán is certainly magical. The chocolate cake and the carrot cake were very yummy from the bakery. Tuk Tuks are fast and a great way to get fresh air. We agree that it was okay the sacrifice the 24 hour challenge for the sake of the view from the mirador! Thanks Matt! 😎

Wow what a colourful place! Katy nearly got taken out by a tuktuk there!! What a fascinating lady - I hope they didn’t get too much water damage. Love that you met so many dogs! Loved the coffee bar. What a view. Nice singing Will!! San Pedro looks awesome too. Chocolate cake looks incredible! Love an early morning Kayak!! The sounds were amazing. The views from the mirador were great, but we preferred the views from your kayak. That’s right, bend the rules of the challenge!! (We would have too!!) - what an amazing 24hrs 🍻

The towns around Lake Atitlan are very colorful! But you do have to watch out for the tub-tuks. Not sure how much it would hurt if they ran into you, but don't want to take a chance. Thanks, I may be on the masked singer one day! We need to do an early morning kayak again, that was magical! Thanks for watching our 24 (ish) hour challenge!

You guys enjoyed a lot my land. It is sad not to see the cayucos anymore, There were huge cayucos when I was in Pana, where you coud see the pedranos rowing to get to Pana to sell their goods, women travel along seated, and men were standing rowing, that waz very picturestec, but not any more.
