Went through in 1979... my doc #067892. Was 18 yrs. old. Just turned 64. 😂😂 was on the gun squad for 2 months. Nigga charlie and k wing slim beating the 💩 out of folk... and the "soup tank". Liked the fried mullet and fresh bread 😂
@thomasspillner6086 was on the "gun squad" in 1979... on K-wing. Never had a run-in with them, but I heard them beat the shit outta folks and they had the "soup tank," where they'd keep you in a cell with no light for 2 weeks and feed a bowl of peas carrots once a day. They did play good music during evening shift, which was actually nice. 🤔
Was there in 1979. Was on gun squad for 60 days doc #067892. Was 18 then and just turned 64. Did 21 yrs. in indiana 1983-04. Been out 20 years this year. Helluva trip.
I was there in 2006 and was made a permanent at the wild west unit.they built a work camp for permanent on the other side of the main unit.my job was repairing all electrical problems on all 3 units.i got to see places in this prison not many inmates get to see
My bunkie got sent there from another camp with an 11 year bid after complaining about extreme headaches for a couple of years for an evaluation. They found out he had cancer. He refused treatment and died there a year later. Rather than stay there and get treated. He told me he couldn't see his self doing no 11 years so yea he got out of it.
Where’s K Wing Slim??? He was DEFINITELY there in 83. I was here in 1999, 2004 and 2009. I spent time in RMC Cell Block (2wing & 3wing), B dorm and the YO dorm at the west unit… and boy could those COs fight.
8:18 That's the psychopath stare. I wouldn't turn my back on that one. 1. a coldness, with a lack of warmth, empathy, or compassion 2. wide-eyed, with more of the white of the eye showing 3. reduced blinking 4. a focus that feels predatory or threatening 5. dilated pupils 6. heightened intensity 7. eye contact or ‘fixation’ held for longer
L wing, in 2018 for a week then to the west unit for 6 days the shipped off to nfrc for another week then to okalossa c.i. i don't wish prison on nobody. Its def not for the weak hearted
Why do they ship inmates around like that? What's the point of a week in each reception center? I know someone that just had the same thing happen, finally landed in Okaloosa..how bad is it in that prison? He's in closed custody! I refuse to have law know my existence so there is no correspondence between us, and other reasons. He's in closed custody.
@@FloridaMan786 The Rock was the main housing unit at Union Correctional Institution, and it was designated the Florida State Prison. The FSP East Unit which sat directly across the New River from UCI, became the official Florida State Prison sometime in the late 1970s when death row and executions were relocated there. UCI, minus The Rock which is long since demolished, is still in operation as a max-security prison, but FSP is the highest security level prison in Florida.
Or mop the rain water off the sidewalks. I did 2 years there in the 80s . I have a Dime sized hole in the brick by the Canteen. It was made in 86. 6 hours of grinding due to not shaving
@RichardBlackburn-bt5hl How about the guys feeding the seagulls, They had to go out in the grass and run chase them around waving there arms to keep them from landing on the ground....😆
Old Viking 66 I seen them waving arms many times. They made me a permanent there for 2 years then shipped me off to ACI to finish my sentence there. At ACI I was in F Dorm. An old red brick building with Day Room in the basement. That place was wild back in the 80s
Oldviking66 I think my rack in F dorm was like 05, I remember by a window facing the front towards where the held us for a week in Orientation. I was there when Mama Herc was there. And another Big Black brother named Doom. I was 24 yrs old. I think age limit at ACI back then was 25. I worked right next to that brick tower. Was a little office at the base of it. All I did was read a 4 foot stack of National Geographic
Is this a max security prison?? Someone very close to me just got sent there for 5 years. It seems like all posts are from people that went there a long time ago. Wondering if it got worse or better. Years ago i heard very bad things about this prison. I mean all prisons are bad. But, this one could be really really bad. Or. Not as bad as other prisons. I read online the C.O.s coddle the prisoners. Coddle the prisoners?? Lol
The film is old. FDoC banned smoking sometime before I went in 2013. This looks to be about 1986 - 1992. Lake Butler Main Unit should have been leveled years ago. btw, I-block is cold AF in the winter. Does anyone who went through there remember the officer "1990"? Back in the day the officers used to collect inmate's teeth as mementos. Those officers were corrupt AF. RMC hospital is where inmates go to die. Julie Jones was FDoC Secretary from 2014 - 2019 who was not from the "good ole boy" network. She had camera surveillance systems placed in all facilities to help stem officer violence who were brutalizing inmates. Eventually she was replaced by another good ole boy.
It says it was 83 they banned smoking before 2000 yeah a black and white guard collected gold teeth out of the black inmates mouths by knocking them out..
