Our video is a guided walk from Coniston in the Lake District, Cumbria. We walk and scramble to the summit of The Old Man of Coniston via Goat's Water and return via Low Water and some of the old slate mines. This is a hard walk on good paths and tracks with steep inclines and declines. Elevation: Approx lowest point 224m (736ft) approx highest point 803m (2633ft). Approx 5 miles allow 3 to 4 hours using OS Explorer Map OL6, The English Lakes South-western area. Start point: Free car parking area at the top of Station Road, no through road. Walked up the Old Man every New Years Day for a long time. I always preferred the route up through Goats Water up the old man over to swirl how - amazing, and great memories! 👏😄

We are going to this on the 10th of Feb we're all fascinated with your accent on it we've had a right giggle as we're from Liverpool An havnt heard an accent quite like it could you give the kirkby walkers a shout out on this

Hi Jay 1878. We would like to say a big hello to the Kirkby Walkers and we are sure you will enjoy your Old Man of Coniston walk on the 10th Feb. As for my accent it is only since we have been making videos that i can listen to myself and i must admit it makes me smile sometimes. Thanks a lot hahahaha we are hearing it's got snow up there so a bit nervous like we're all hoping we make it to the summit oldest lad with us is ste goody he's 42 he's the one that found ye vid but most are 25-30 so we should be ok thanks again the taxi driver
