I never go for walleye unless I can set up somewhere where the wind is coming over my back, this way the fish are coming towards you. West is best and East is least 😅
I usually use live minnows on a dropshot rig for walleye, but with a walk like that I'd be fishing lures too! I'm not trying to lug a bait bucket full of water and fish, rod and tackle box down that rocky jetty. Lol If you're not using live bait and not getting hits, maybe try a jighead with rubber minnow with some scent on it. Even though they have outstanding night vision, they seem to respond better to scent sometimes (maybe a seasonal thing). Only a couple months till spawn! Hope you make another vid!
We will. We have been slacking. The saugeye are on fire all over. But just haven’t been filming. That’s one heck of a walk. Especially carrying fish back! Thanks for the comment and fish on!
I live about 1/2 an hour away from this spot. I've fished closer to the Islands and had huge success. Now Im going to have to put in my little boat and hit this one. Thanks for taking the time to make and post this video.
