Lake Hármashegyi can also be called the pearl of the forest-desert, the foundation of which was excavated in 1980. The Hármashegyi Lake area has always been a low-lying, marshy area. In the area of Lake Hármashegyi, the Zúgó vein ran through it, and during its expansion, the current 5 ha Lake Hármashegyi was created.
In the 1970s, Hármashegyi Lake was part of the construction of the water reservoirs in Erdöspuszta.
Lake Hármashegyi's "neighbor" is the 138-year-old Zsuzsi light railway, whose terminus since 1977 is also the Hármashegyi rest area. The largest fish in the history of Lake Hármashegyi, a 22 kg catfish, was caught in the summer of 2011.
In addition to Lake Hármashegyi, the Hármashegyalja nature trail also leads to the artificial lake, its 6th station, where many protected plant and animal species and the diverse wildlife of the wetland are presented.
