I saw a You Tube video with some sodbusters fishing a clear creek at Holbrook, do you know the location? I want to explore in my old town sportsman mk.
I fish this lake all the time . I only live a few miles from it. Just keep in mind during the summer months there are several jet skis and tubers on the water. Carolina rigging does well around those boat houses. Flukes do well around weed lines in the early mornings or late evenings . Be real careful up in the trees . Only idle speed in that area .it’s full of trees . It’s a clear lake you can see several feet so the spawning fish are easier to see. Thursday nights maybe a little bit more crowded. Grandsaline bass club holds there tournaments on that night. . So I stay away on Thursday evenings.
If you see the yellow bass popping the surface, black bass are below them. I miss this lake! LM will chase the bait fish into that cove to the right of the main boat ramp and stage at the mouth like prison guards. Carolina rig, deep dive cranks. Its gets tragic real fast when they are there.

My apologizes, wrong Lake. I see them fishing by the boat ramp on the East side by the boat ramp a lot. There are some brush pile right off the dock you could get to as well. A kayak would be perfect for this lake.
