LAKE HURON & EASTERN TRAINS 

"I never even heard of that Yard", (I thought it was the Saginaw Yard / "that's it"). I used to go there as a younger man, and when CSX Left / The Grand Trunk stopped / it all kinda ended. Now "Lake State" is servicing Dow, and on election day (the day I caught this video), I learned about the H & E ("and I never even heard of them"). I thought (and saw) "Rail America" years ago / but haven't even seen them lately. All industry around here is pretty much gone / I suppose that's why. :- )

@@TommyZTrains Yeah. Wenonah Yard used to be, I believe, where Central Michigan used to be out of. It's kinda tucked out of the way just north of the outskirts of Bay City. If you ever check @GoogleEarth, its 43*37'52.67N/83*54'51.35"W.

Hey !! :- ) "I'd say pretty much yes", (video's). I don't know what I could do that hasn't already been "DONE" anyway .... (that is Video-wise). After that: "It's the STARK-REALITY of just what's 'before' me" *PERSONALLY* :- ) Example: I've sold many, many, trains, (mainly engines) ... and what I'm learning is this: The Hobby is dying FAST / and the "next generation" want NO-part of it AT ALL. More FACTS can be found in the currant T.C.A. setting", and their lowered numbers, *(and the York PA. train-show No.'s are another example / amid a HUGE decline). Article's / and the various Train Forum's, site other examples of the "more" people, (whom are also dying / "departing" this hobby). Adding injury to insult: here's another "hit-home" example: I decided to sell /and pass-off ALL of my "Postwar" Lionel equipment / and a fifty year collection of American Flyer "S" Gauge stuff: and (end-run): "I got 7.2 cents on the dollar" !. Later: I sold (on EBay), some addl. Lionel & MTH Equipment (amid many "flats with auto's", engines, and houses, buildings / more) ... and for those "MINT" examples: I got 7.50 cents a car ! , and the engines: 45 - to 90 bucks EACH, *(and 8 bucks a house) !. "A boulder dropped in still water" ? ... ah "yeah". *N E V E R did I think this could happen* !!! While no Hobby has any "investment return" ANYMORE, NO-ONE Could have stopped me (at the time) from the bug that was "biting-me", :- ) ... and being honest: "I had a hell-of-a lot-of-fun" :- ) !!. But later: I would LEARN that the Devil I was "feeding" (MTH Trains), would NOT lend me ANY support whatsoever, and later-on (along with a big-sigh), they would say: "then just don't buy it sir" (when I was in need of part / product support / and that "need" escalated / amid nothing so much as even the courtesy of a return phone-call or e-mail / letter). "So it STOPPED - DEAD there Bron" ... Anyway: I'm now realizing that I made a HUGE mistake, and I've decided that it just isn't worth it to 'ME' ... "I'd rather put every engine on a post, and shoot at it with my riffle", then ta give it away (as I preface in the above) ... So: I just say to myself: "stay-away", and I'll deal with "you" later (in my mind). No 'Club' exists (here), no 'School' has so much as even "passive-interest" in Trains ... & even the "Cub & Boy Scouts" I've tried to "invite-in" / and HAVE: want no part of ANY of it ... "so yeah: it's NOT inspiring". I DO love how-ever: LOVE looking on at others, "(and LOVE seeing what they are up to)" ... and the "passion" will ALWAYS burn inside me... but I'm now realizing that the World is changing, *and the wonder of "model-building, flight, rocketry, and even in the basic example of riding a bike, OR TA GO OUTSIDE: all have sir-come to the phone" ... Even on radio, one will hear Government adds about this very plague". "AMAZING". "LOL": and on the News: "these kid's are EATING "dishwasher pods" ? !! ... My word: "what happened" ??. :- ( ANYWAY: Like I've said in the past Bron: NO "regret", (and it was "everything that was good n' fun with the coll. of trains) ...BUT: it does however, Make one THINK: "and I'm thinking still". TommyZTrains I've been to York twice...and I can safely say I'll never go to another one again. The buildings are generally filled with people trying to sell the SAME GARBAGE over and over again....and I do mean things that should literally be thrown in the trash! The stuff worth looking at or buying??....priced so high it's ridiculous. So yeah, I'm done with TCA and York! My local TCA guy asked me why I was a "lone wolf" in the hobby....i.e.---not "involved with others in the hobby". Told him people tend to listen to my ideas but don't share their own. They are reluctant to share things they have learned that would help others....DONE! I understand why the hobby is dying. They can invent apps for the trains and all the technology that goes into the trains and the hobby in general, but I think it's too little, too late. I will continue to buy and sell engines for the foreseeable future for another 5-10 years till I retire and move out of NJ because I can enjoy the hobby on my own. You always were one of the special people in the hobby that I found on RU-vid from the beginning and I will never consider anything you say babbling. I still have the UP Gas Turbine engine you inspired me to get years ago...lol.

Hi ya Frank !!, "I loaded (my bad) TIU Version 6.1" ... AFTER I DID THAT, "nothing would run after". I went from near perfect operation (with 4.1), to trains that ran WILD (if they ran at all), and "no engine on track messages". I then invested in 3 WI-FI sets (and a Tablet) ... "better, but NOT (again) what it was". After all this, I sought a near desperate attempt to FIND 4.1, "but could not". After that: I bought ONE P-3 build ... THAT in itself told me that things would END there ... I read about so many others (on those Forum's mostly), and soon learned that there were MANY MORE like myself / amid no Customer Support, and an "I don't care" attitude *(from MTH Trains). ANGERED: "I left and never went back". "The currant builds are chincy, and NOT the trains I used to enjoy" ... BIG-TIME. I thought too myself: "this is crazy" !!! "I voted with my wallet Frank" ... and after "they" told me (after a big sigh): "then just don't buy it Sir", I acted IN the only way possible: * I VOTED WITH MY WALLET. / NO- MORE. * Later: I gathered a 50 year Lionel Post-War Collection all together, and decided it was time to start selling my stuff off ... "Frank: I GOT 7.8 cents on the Dollar" !!!. I had some very pristine Trains, and after that "it hit me": the Hobby is dying, and even here: "only 1 Hobby Shop remains". Later (after the above), I started to sell my MTH stuff ... realizing that 1300 dollar engine's would not garner even a 300 dollar opening bid, I just decided to "leave", and I haven't even looked at a train in a year plus. "When it's a constant war, and no FUN anymore - I'M OUT". Anyway: my interests have migrated into other things in FINDING that "fun" I cite, *and: it's nice to not have ta BEG "anyone" anymore/ about "ANYTHING". Un-answered e-mail's, phone-call's, and literally begging for Customer help / and support just isn't right Frank ... "not over something as stupid as a train". I HATE the bastards now, and perhaps someday, I will re-visit what's left, and try an resurrect things ... MORE IMPORTANTLY: I HOPE this finds YOU well !. "All my best" !!

Ok Tommy. I feel the same way about the Trains to.All the money I put in to it and it only worth 10 cent on the dollar.Iam done to about buy trains. Just play with what i have and give my grand kids want they want before I die.Take care Tommy maybe I see you on the flip side.(BY)
