Retired veteran here who hasn’t fished in over 35-years. I forgot how to tie knots but have purchased an ugly stick and a zebco. Do people fish alone? I went alone once and the solitude was amplified. Maybe because I was used to going w my kids, which are now adults. I like getting out though, and it can be fun. Usually a camping activity, for me, and I havent gone camping lately.

I've been watching your channel for some time now and even bought a fishing pole out of inspiration, but I wanted to say. I am so absolutely amazed by how wonderful you are raising your sons. In this day in age, it's nice to see some true Gentlemen at such a young age. I hope my four-year-old shows even half as much class your sons do at their age when interacting with people and the level of respect they give to their elders. I love that these guys are not afraid to approach newcomers to fishing and show them how to get started. A lot of professional or hobbyists sort of approach new people in their hobby with disdain, want them to buy the most expensive stuff or just judge others for well...trying something new. So really love that y'all show people how to get started and don't shy away from a "cheaper" and "easier" option by going out to Walmart and showing people how to get started. That's what it's about, start small and get people hooked into a new hobby.

Me and the wife were boaters but last summer we sold out because it was getting bad 3 or 5 hours waiting to get on or off the lake. Calville was our spot. Keep growing the channel..thank-you

One thing I’d add to the folks fishing with store bought worms is to make sure you take the styrofoam container the worms come in home and dispose of it properly. Better yet, transfer the worms into something more durable like a plastic tub from sour cream and take that out with you (asp bring it home afterwards for disposal). One of the most common pieces of trash I find around fishing spots are these styrofoam containers, either whole or in pieces.

Absolutely love this channel, especially the family dynamic, taught my 2 boys how to fish and they are obsessed with it, when my older son turned 16 he wanted his drivers license bad so he could drive himself to go fishing, alot of kids want it to party but they just want to fish, my work schedule sucks but they go all the time, day or night, they’re 19 and 17, fairly close to these boys and I love to see it, not all young guys are irresponsible busters, if you guide them right and are there they come out good, salute to you Sr and thank you for your service.

It is really nice to watch some updates from a first person point of view. You guys always seem to make things feel okay where as the news just makes us want to kiss our sitters goodbye. I had 2 brothers, and I am the only girl. My brother's never liked to fish with my dad. I did though! I lost my dad last year, and my last fond memories were from a trip to fish together in a lake in Tennessee. He drove up from Florida, and I met up with him from NC. We had the best time, just him, and I. I miss my dad so much. We caught some nice bass, but the big one got away. I hooked him, and was reeling him in. My dad went to the waters edge to net him because we saw how big he was when he broke the water, and soared through the air. No one believed us of course! That was our last fishing trip together. Enjoy your dad while you can, because he could be gone tomorrow.

My grandpa used to take me and my sister out fishing and she would just be reelin' one in like every couple minutes while I'm just sittin' there not getting one. I'm now 64 and haven't been fishing since. But watching your channel I get inspired. Who knows I may just get out there again. So awesome you gave that equipment away to that family too! As a vegas local I really appreciate you guys putting all this content out. it's really sparked a drive in myself to get into fishing and hunting with my son. hopefully we run into you guys on one of our own adventures one of these days.
