This is the history of a castle built on the limestone bluffs of the Osage river overlooking the Lake of the Ozarks near Camdenton, Missouri
The builder never lived in it, his family lost a fortune trying to save it and it was finally destroyed by fire.
It is a very unique piece of American history.

We missed this, but in the 1970’s at summer camp, we’d go on a 2 week trip down the Niangua River, each year. Absolutely beautiful ❗️ [ and that is something on my “bucket list “.] 📻🙂 Interesting video

I've been to the castle many times. Last to.e with my ghost hunter group we stayed out there 2 nights really cute and creepyy
