Lake Placid Training Day

Isabelle and I took a day trip to Lake Placid on St Jean Baptiste day. It was a rainy day from the start but the sun came out for us in the end! We started the day by looking through the Olympic Museum and then Isabelle went on a run (I was on bike support duty). After that, we grabbed coffee/hot choccy at Origin Coffee. We then swam one lap of the Ironman course in some choppy waters before grabbing lunch at the German hotel restaurant and finally heading out for our long-awaited ride! The ride was shortened from our Original route but it was Beautiful nonetheless! The sun came out capping off an amazing training day, leaving us yearning to go back before we even left.
