Thank you and welcome to the channel! And yes - the term “mile roads” is based on location where the streets are named per mile. If you were to follow those streets (which run east-west) past land and into the water, that identifies where you would be fishing. The mile roads are basically from 9 mile pier (DNR launch site) located at the end of 9 mile where the road ends at Lake St Clair, all the way north until you reach Lake St Clair Metropark at 16 mile (aka Big Beaver, aka Metropolitan Parkway). With that said, the best spring fishing can be had along the “mile roads” on the water from just south of 9 mile all the way up through 12 mile - which is pretty much the shoreline of the city of St. Clair Shores MI. Some of the historical landmarks are the 9 mile tower, Blossom Heath, Memorial Park and the 400 club (which is the furthest north past the 12 mile mark). Best of luck to you on your trip up here and hope you get on some smallies! I have a new video launching today that might help as well, as we target them in the areas north of the mile roads and the south end of Anchor Bay.
