Been trying to catch Y505 at least one more time before Dunn Paper Mill closes down on November 18th. Finally managed to see it today on a rather windy and wild weather day. With snow upstate and bouts of sun and rain down here, it was a pretty crazy day for weather in Michigan. Regardless, Lake State Railway runs their isolated train on their isolated line no matter the weather. This train previously ran up to the mill about 11:15 that morning, then a second time around as seen in this video. Here they shove a single boxcar into Dunn Paper, then take off for the siding alongside Thomas Edison Drive. They couple up to the boxcars sitting there, and I THOUGHT they were gonna reverse back into the mill but oops, I was wrong lmao. After coupling up they went back towards their base near CDW Consulting and I wasn't able to catch up by the time they started moving. I should've just went to the front end of the train but I had a stupid moment, oh well lol. Anyway, enjoy one of the last movements along this stretch of Lake State Railway's isolated Port Huron Subdivision.
