My new favorite band. Great musicians writing and playing smart, interesting songs. A nice change from the standard corporate crap being made. And BTW, Bridget Kearney is a monster bass player.
Now THAT is one KICK ASS Song Right Here God Bless This Group Lake Street Dive Rachel Price's Soulful Singing and Brigdet Kearney's Bass Playing makes one AWESOME Combination along with Drums and Guitar My Favorite NEW Band of the Decade
This song is absolutely amazing, incredibly full of passion and absolute SPUNK! Rachel belts out the lyrics, but Bridget just DESTROYS the bass... I gotta think she's a spokesperson for replacement strings saying "Even I can't break these!" - Dang girl... spank that bass line out!
Why have I not heard of Lake Street Dive until now? You folks are terrific and I'm checking out all your music. Will look for you when you come back to Boston and hope it's soon!
I remember when these guys had a show on Saturday mornings, The guy on guitar wore an ascot and drove an old van, the drummer had longer hair and a great dane.
Love that this is a band that doesn't just lipsynch their music videos. The recorded album and the video are very different, and that's a good thing. Great job Lake Street Dive!
That's funny! I didn't notice.... she would be just as awesome in grandpa's jeans. I really enjoy seeing very talented young people playing real music. Tooooooooooooooooooo much of Brittney Spears and Miley Cyrus and all of that other trash over the past two decades.. Real talent without adding sleazy "fluff". LSD are fantastic!!!
I came here to help confirm my new philosophy - 'There can be no gain from talking to a person who lies all the time' - so just don't care what they say. This band starts out like a Model T and finishes like a Jaguar E type. F type?
