I heard this song at the end of the movie Players They sound so wonderful! The song lyrics are so fun and loving! I'm sad I just discovered you guys BUT I'm filled with joy now that I have😀😀😍😍 Hey! I'm a Gemini it works
it's so weird to live in an age where your favorite band drip-feeds you new releases for free. Maybe it's normal for most people, but I don't think Ive liked a band this much until now. Total Lake head
yeah, music "sales" are like almost entirely driven by streaming revenue now, and physical sales barely contribute to the total picture (at least relatively speaking). Though there are a lot of obvious downsides to this approach (particularly on the artist end, one of the easiest to point to being that double-albums and "much larger quantity of shorter songs"-type albums have become WAY more common in order to raise streaming numbers), the plus side is that we pretty much get all new music releases available for free the instant it releases.
"Know That I Know" Yeah we're like baseball and hot dogs You're Ferris Bueller and I'm a day off The E-Street Band and the Boss You know you're my Happy clouds and I'm Bob Ross So let me tell ya, boy In no uncertain terms I finally found the words Dontcha know that I know that you know that I know That you want me And don't I know that you know that I know that you know That I want you So let it be known by letter or phone All our other lovers better leave us alone Get ready to go, cuz I'm taking you home Yeah we like sneakers and gym socks You're happy hour and I am five o'clock You're Captain Kirk to my Spock You know, I'm Dee Dee Ramone and you're punk rock So let me tell ya, boy Don't leave it up to fate It's time we set things straight Dontcha know that I know that you know that I know That you want me And don't I know that you know that I know that you know That I want you So let it be known by letter or phone All our other lovers better leave us alone Get ready to go, cuz I'm taking you home And when we get home, throw your coat on my bed But that's the only thing we'll do in here for now Turn the lights down low, and the music up loud You know you dance so good won't you show me how It's like we've been together much longer than is true We've watched the forming of the sun And we'll be there to colonize the moon If it's not too soon Dontcha know that I know that you know that I know That you want me And don't I know that you know that I know that you know That I want you So let it be known by letter or phone All our other lovers better leave us alone Get ready to go, cuz I'm taking you home And dontcha know that I know that you know that I know That you want me And don't I know that you know that I know that you know That I want you So let it be known by letter or phone All our other lovers better leave us alone Get ready to go, cuz I'm taking you home Taking you...
Man when they played this song as the opener when they came to Portland. Damn. Did a slow build with each band member coming out and the music slowly built. Until Rachel finally steps out to the mic and just jumps right into that catchy chorus as all the lights come on. Magical.
I think they've been putting out Grammy after Grammy material for many years now. I actually feel real sadness for anyone that hasn't found this band yet, tisk. I shed a real tear.
im absolutely obsessed with you guys' music, ive had it on repeat for weeks now - genuinely one of my favourite bands. your music is so unique! its so colourful and lively and the instrumental is so rich and the vocals are sooo so good! the kirk and spock line made me really happy too haha
I was shopping with my mom at the Loft, and this was playing. I started to bounce my head to it. Next thing you know I got the song name from google. This is such a bop! I love it!!!
I heard you for the very first time this past weekend on 107.1 The Peak in NY. I said to myself, wow, an actual song with actual lyrics and musicians playing actual instruments with a singer who is actually singing rather than shouting. You're a revelation. Someone has got to find a way to get your asses on SNL as the musical guest.
"I want you back" is still my favourite LSD song. But I just found their npr tiny desk concert from 8 years ago, and one of the three songs there might be a new favourite for me :). definitely worth checking out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gdRAcoD5Gt0.htmlsi=0M2hTXQwbI6hmpqS
I had to look this song up because they play it on the Speedway convenience store where I work. Its one of maybe 40 songs they play on a loop in all Speedway stores I think. It's mesmerizing in it's terribleness. I hear it in my deepest darkest nightmares.
