We're too afraid to go hungry haha. It's some scenic out there. It never ceases to amaze me. The only thing I would do differently for next time is go camping in the summer coz it was frigid last June and we weren't prepared for that.
Christian Lawrence Rivera i went last week. It was still cold 40-50 degrees. So i dont think it will change much since tahoe is at high elevation. But yeah we learn new things every camping trip.
Great video, what day and time did you get to Pope beach?? I hear it gets packed by a certain time and I’m planning my trip. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance
We got there around 11am and there weren't too many people there yet. They have picnic tables, clean restrooms. We left around 3pm and that's when it started to get really crowded so best to arrive early if you can. There's an entry fee of $10 I believe per vehicle. Here's a link to help you plan your trip there: www.tahoepublicbeaches.org/beaches/pope-beach/
@Huy Nguyen They were not enforcing any restrictions at the time. Now I'm not too sure as I haven't been back since. Their restrooms isn't what you call lavish type haha. It's one of those public restrooms with showers in them. They're clean though and well maintained but they close them around 8pm for maintenance.
www.rvonthego.com/california/tahoe-valley-campground/?Yext%20Directory%20Listing The place is called Tahoe Valley Campground. They have toilets and showers, yes. Not the most luxurious but they clean and maintain them regularly. Enjoy kayo pre!
Thanks Trinh! The campground we went to had designated campfire pits. Outside places like the beaches would only allow gas or propane stoves. However with the threat of these rising wildfires lately, I am not sure if they have restricted some of these. Best to check the website of which campsite/ location you're going to.
Hey. Yes it's in South Lake Tahoe. The place is called Tahoe Valley Campground. You definitely want to make a reservation ahead especially now in the summer. I have pasted the link below to learn more about their services: www.rvonthego.com/california/tahoe-valley-campground/?Yext%20Directory%20Listing
Nah I don't think they do. Usually around 10pm, the park staff will do their rounds and advise guests to keep the noise down and put all the leftover food aside in their respective vehicles. Garbage and other wastes, food leftovers, etc. must be disposed in the large trashbins located outside the restrooms.
