You need a torch head for that tank. Then melt the top layer, so we can see through the ice. It may also help you catch those big fish you're missing.

Awesome video. I think you're not putting enough bend in your rod. Lake trout have hard mouths and getting the hookset is one thing, keeping them on is another. Try putting more bend in the rod!

About the rock paintings. Sometimes they are waypoints for direction while traveling. Also sometimes it could be a hunting camp area where they recorded stories and retold them during visits. Other times it has a spiritual significance maybe an area where they fasted and recieved visions.

I would recommend a rod that fully loads so that when it does those head shakes it doesn't unload and then you lose the fish.

Actually it works alot better to not crack open the can you are going to heat up. It's basically pressure cooking and it automatically will make the ingredients constantly move inside the can from being pressured. Moderate heat and then let it cool some before cracking the seal. Your can is ready when you hear a slight pop of the metal or see the lid expanding, then let cool to reduce pressure for a few minutes. Cooked all winter long like this, no stirring or burning of the contents when you leave it sealed. Try it just don't use super hot heat source. (On second thought, Peric you should let someone else try this.)

Peric, if you're reading this, you should be more like Spencer when you hook into a fish. He was calm, collected, and patient. Also, you should replay the footage of the fish you lost. P.S. Brown trout go ape-shit for Liquid Mayhem. It's more than just holding on longer too. It'd probably work well for lake trout too.
