A lot of teams were and currently are capable of winning the chip. The problem is GM's in the NBA are impatient and move players after a year or two of failure. Golden State proved if you stick with the core you draft, you can win and that its okay to have 3 maybe even 4 years where they don't win. It's called player and cohesive development, things don't happen overnight

This clip proves a few things to me: 1. Lavar is a well respected individual. Rarely do we see Shannon & Skiiuuup stand idly by while their guests articulate their viewpoint. These two men (Shannon & Skiiuuup) highly value and respect Lavar’s viewpoint. 2. Skiiuuup truly, deeply, and wholeheartedly believes in what Shannon has to say. He may not agree with him (almost ALWAYS), but he considers Shannon’s word to be TRUE to him (Shannon). This is clearly demonstrated during the dialogue at 1:52-2:06 as Shannon verbalizes how he in fact knows someone who has divorced, remarried, and consequently divorced the same individual. This is purely one person’s perspective; however Skiiuuup obviously takes it as 100% fact. There is a clear bond between these two (Shannon/Skiiuuup) gentlemen which is fun to watch. End of message!

Being a Laker is the only team where you can be really be up and then really be down. When Shaq was a Heat, he was booed at Staples. When Kobe was in his peak, he was booed by Lakers fans. It's very, very harsh here. Considering LeBron spent most of his career in Cleveland and is looked as a rival to Kobe, he will never gain the trust from Lakers fans like Magic and Kobe.
