They're both great choices for coaches and Stephen Jacksons racism has clouded any impartiality and why is he sweating so bad? Y’all just don’t understand context at all... Vogel was dealt a raw deal. Pressured by management to play hezonja and Simmons heavy minutes because of how the front office invested in them. Ross played only 24 games last year. Not to mention their 3 best players in Gordon / Vucevic / fournier missed a combined 74 games.... Clifford comes in... Isaac has another year of development. Hardly any injuries and Orlando wins around 40 games... yet y’all would have me believe Vogel was trash? How many coaches could have coached that Orlando team to 30 plus wins last year. Been a fan of the team for a while and Vogel was not that bad. We like Clifford a lot but y’all need to understand context better

I agree that there still exists some racism in the NBA I'm sure. Gary Ridgeway exactly. I hate that just because a guy played he automatically has a higher b-ball IQ than a guy who doesn’t. I get J-Kidd was great and I believe in a lot of cases it’s true but not always. Vogel is a good defensive coach but bad offensive coach. He’s not a great coach but he’s better than JKidd

stephen jackson is dumb af. popovich never played in the nba, neither did brad stevens, mike budenholzer, erik spoelstra or quin snyder. Pretty sure they command respect from their players because these are some of the widely regarded best coaches in the league.

He said 4 of the top 5 coaches are former players. Phil JackSon is considered a great coach. He played. Doc Rivers. Pat Riley. Lenny Wilkens. Budenholzer learned from Pop for 16 years. Erik Spo was under Pat for 6 or so. Mark Jackson. Jason Kidd. And Jerry Stackhouse are former players that an older Lebron will respect no matter what. If Lebron don’t respect the head. This Ty Lou stuff is dumb. He was not that good of a coach. He had Lebron in a very, very weak eastern conference. Then against the Warriors, I don't even care about Green being suspended, but Bogut got injured, Iguodala had a bad back, and Curry was coming off of and injury. So yeah the Cavs came back but it wasn't against a healthy Warriors team. It's funny, everyone wants to give the Cavs credit for beating an injured Warriors team, but the previous season everyone holds it against the Warriors for beating an injured Cavs team.

i have no problem with black coaches but making someone a coach because he is black is just ignorant. (not to mention the lakers have had black coaches and kidd didnt get the job because of skeletons in his closet and the pr that would come with them.) people should also take a closer look at how the bucks flourished after kidd's departure and if a black coach is the goal then they shouldve given mark jackson a call as he seems to be a worthy candidate.

Former NBA players who coached who weren't the "best coaches": Kurt Rambis Magic Johnson Elgin Baylor Wes Unseld Jason Kidd Isiah Thomas Paul Silas Scott Skiles Tyron Corbin Bill Cartwright So that statement alone is false. At the same time, there have been plenty of coaches that were not former players who are great coaches. Even if you look at Steve Kerr, look who one of his greatest mentors was....a coach who did NOT play. So....Stephen Jackson is just upset because he wants his former teammates and friends to get jobs and in this case they did not. This has nothing to do with "former player" and "respect".
