Class 1983 here. This music reminds me the holidays in the United States when I flew to California with my father in 2000 and 2001. It seems another era as if everything was so different from now but mostly because I was different. The reverb of the sax together with a sunset view associated with this music evokes something that you can still see but very distant, very far away, the sense of still-going-beyond-something which produces the concept of "infinity". This is the base mechanism which applied to your own memories, in comparison with your nowaday life, triggers the nostalgia feeling.
I’m surprised that other people have a specific mood when driving to the airport early in the morning. Although this is not how I feel when I am doing that. Everything just feels quiet and peaceful. The noise of the highway beneath the car. Waiting for the sun to rise. Looking out the window at all the other cars.
