I'm just happy that Indian islands and the communities there are getting the attention & visibility they deserve. Most India maps don't even show Indian islands. Indian film industry should choose these locations for shooting films. Indian Institute of Hotel Management should come up with training & scholarship programs for those living in these islands so that the locals are the first ones to reap the rewards of increase tourism & allied economic activities and are able to provide world class hospitality services. I am all for Lakshwadwep but now government should focus on infrastructure development there and moreover the big issue is flights! Connectivity should be made better

Try kayaking in the backwaters and surfing at the private beaches (with Zone 51 group). Surprisingly, a German family was learning surfing from our Indian brother and it was a proud moment. Mangalore -> Amazing food and continuation of the beaches. Why look elsewhere when we have paradise at home
Bring Maldives economy to its knees.. as united India, we can do that. Remember by promoting our own destination islands, we keep indian money within its shore as well. World's best must be brought to our Islands that will be the most attractive tourist destination in this region. india has technical and financial capacity to do so, and we have the best leaderdhip to achieve those goals. We can get the best international agencies to do the planning and making it work while locals and common man too get the benefit of such developnent....
