Lakshmi walks into the elephant ambulance

After waiting for what felt like an eon, we can take Lakshmi with us as she finally stepped into the Elephant Ambulance, fastidiously prepared by our rescue team. She is now on her way to the Wildlife SOS Elephant Hospital and to make sure that she has a comfortable return journey, all the necessary arrangements such as rubber mats and fodder for extra cushioning, tarpaulin covers and string support belts, have been made.
We have even stocked the ambulance with ample food and water to make sure she constantly receives nourishment, in addition to blankets which will provide her relief from the night’s cold. As she takes this journey, we wish we could tell her, “Everything’s going to be fine, we have got your back from now on.”
This is just the beginning of the road to her recovery and we thank you for your continued support. We will make sure Lakshmi gets a life full of care, love, compassion and kindness.

Lakshmi is on her way to place with love, care and most of all other elephants for her to bond with! The best medicine of all ...Her scenting the truck in earlier posts told her she will soon be among elephants to herd with! Sobbing tears of joy! What an excellent transitional care program! The sling inside the ambulance, to support her very depleted and weak body. Very thoughtful, as she could easily fall during her journey, and how to remain standing with road bumps and fatigue, etc.! So excellent! I have no doubt she is So very grateful, as am I!

I've been so sad for the abuse she's suffered. Her owners have damaged her so badly, it's heartbreaking....but i haven't cried until now. They've got her now! She's safe! And on her way to a better life! Thank you God for these people.

I loved watching the ambulance door close on that awful chapter of her life. When it opens again, she will walk out into her new home, her new life, and a new happy forever future! ❤️🐘🐘❤️ Where I live it's 10pm New Year's Eve and she's leaving her old life, when she gets to the WSOS Hospital it will be a New Year. I think that's a fitting start to her new life 🙏 Drive safely.

She's so sad, but looks happy that she's been rescued, no poking, no pain. It's so sad how people I'll treat the elephants. They could run away, but they are faithful. Also these people abuse their families too. That's why they can't see why and how they are hurting a living creature, created by God.
