Super happy that we are able to witness Indian men's badminton's best phase ever. We have 3 TOP singles shuttlers (Prannoy, Srikanth, Lakshya), and the WR2 Mens doubles pair (Shetty-Reddy) and some great upcoming youngsters (Priyanshu, Kiran) from our country. The Thomas Cup was just the beginning, just a single Olympic medal from any of these people would completely change the way the sport is followed in the country. Come on you guys!
Good location of camera, and great that it is completely stable. Also good editing work. Good job and thanks for video. Difficult to find good badminton channels on youtube so great work.
one one hand you have politicians in the garb of wrestlers protesting the mandatory selection process instituted by the WFI, on the other you have genuine sportsmen battling it out to prove that they are the best in honest duels like this.
Srikant very dedicated, likewise lakshya is a wonderful young edition, both dis players as well as other indian players r our inspiration, lots of hardwork has got dem to dis level
I like Kidambi but Lakshay is far better than Kidambi. He got speed, agility ans endurance which Srikanth lacks. No Doubt, Srikanth is a skilled badminton player but because of his low agility most asian players able to defeat him very easily. We saw it in recent Asian games.
Yano matter how much srikanth defeats lakshya ..in terms of temperamence he is always behind lakshya..and thats why trials like this doesnt really define ..the way .lakshya can handle pressure srikanth can never..and i think lakshya should have been allwed in MS than srikanth..he would have gold medal which LSF won..he was in such great form during that time..he defeated shi yu qi in hia first meet with him during Team games
Srikant is a total flop player he can only beat lakshya on home soil and not top ranked player while lakshya has much better outing against top 10 players .u can see the result in asian games and commonwealth game .Lakshya won gold in commonwealth and in asian he defeated shi yuqi while srikant was struggling to beat 160 ranked player .coaches have to look for other records also other than selection trual
Exactly the trial thing like this is so one dimensional ..they really need to consider who had beaten the maximum top 10 players and it was clearly lakshya Bcs that explains who can handel pressure and has actual skills..in trials first of there is barely any environment that can even replicate the pressure it is on international event and then it could be possible that one having bad day...i dont think every country follows thi...look how LSF was in singles and lakshya had positive H2H against him ..he could have took him down and won gold..but thanks to this srikanth This is also the trials reason how lakshya didnt make upto tokyo 2020 ..meanwhile they sent someone irrelevant ..even in tokyo lakshya was good enough to reach round of 16 or quarterfinals ... They sent praneeth on this stupid trials who wasnt even able to win a single set ..that looser lost straight ganes in group stage with such low ranking players..he was o bad..that no one even know that india even had MS representation that year Imagine how an seyoung came at Olympics at tokyo for WS from korea ....and that let her gain experience thats why she was able to perform well this time upto winning gold
this farce called trials should never be held 6month in advance..6month is a long time when players can lose form..also, unlike other sports like Wrestling, the Badminton has non stop super series..use those to select players..we saw how Pathetic Kidambi was in Asian Games while a better player like Lakshya Sen sit out in Men's singles events..and inconsistent players like Kidambi should never be selected based on 2-3days trials coz he's inconsistent..he can beat the best of players one day and went on to lose to anybody in next 10days
Srikanth, unbelieavably skilled and invincible when playing his best. Unfortunate that we have been unable to seem him maintain his peak form for any significant amount of time.
@@fernandezz3321 Ikr? Problem is that badminton lacks money and global interest so then it ends up getting very tight TV slots and that makes the referees and tournament rules trend towards hurrying the players up. Imho, they should allow for more time on court between points and also rallies exceeding a certain number of shots should automatically allow for a small break to allow players to catch their breaths. Injuries are part and parcel of the game but we shouldn't be forcing players to take any more risk than necessary. It's one injury and then years of hardwork go down the drain just so some mogul can add pennies to his billions.
Lakshya Sen look out of touch and not motivated... hopefully he'll make strong Comeback he is true champion taking nothing away from Kidambi Shrikanth ❤️
aaj final tha usme srikanth huga and lakshya wat a player lakshya bde match ka player h abhi se hi itne acheivements jitne srinkath k pass career m nhi h asian games m pela THOMAS CUP M PELA and common wealth gold
Did anyone notice kidambi's backhand shots were very weak like no back to back shot from backhand. From an international player it is very dissappointing to see such mere shots not being played skillfully
I cant belive some people in our country are so jealous that they bring their own countrymen down..how bad these allegations look at international level..and this was done when he was already representing INDIA at international level..stupid jealous souls..and as if it was anything lakshya's fault..and people really need to see lakshya's pictures from 2011 and if ahe fraud was real he would be looking like a 14 year kid with tall height and kight moustache and he looked like a 10 year old ..so i dont know how they claimed this bullshit
In terms of medal hope, it is worrying. Lakshya needs to increase power and go on the offensive far more. Srikanth needs to cut errors and play more purposefully.
