Lal Mandi Museum better known as the Sri Pratap Singh Museum is in a sense symptomatic of the state of J&K. When the polity of the region is in turmoil, art and culture are usually the first casualties. While the artefacts have now been transferred to a new building in the same complex a few years back (2017). We shot and made the film when the museum and it’s inhabitants were in an older edifice which they had inhabited for more than a century.
