The girls should compete in international games, it must be boring to compete with the same gymnasts again and again ! They should have a chance to go to the Olympics , they work so hard and they are so talented! As a fan of the sport , I would love to see the Russian gymnasts competing with other great athletes.
I am so sad Lala is a victim of this madness and cannot compete in her best years, but allowing them to participate having in mind how this sport particularly is related to politics in that country, would be cynical.
My understanding is that if Israeli gymnasts are permitted to compete, the same can happen for the Russian gymnasts. It is the only fair thing to do , no more hypocrisy!

No, AIN is a humiliation, and she deserves to present her country, thats only loss for the OG that has no class anymore, she is presented in clubs events BRICs and Igry Dryzhby and also in skygrace.
None of the gymnasts would be eligible as all of their clubs are related to the state. (CSKA,MGFSO, Gazprom etc.) Viner also didn’t want to compete without the Russian flag.
@@anryara3240 I see. I think AIN is ok, although I don't like the judges giving them lower scores. but I think people shouldn't care so much about a flag or “representing the country”. There are people who treat anyone who competes independently as traitors to the nation, but I just think it's the athlete wanting to compete, make a name for himself in the sport, etc. In the end, it is the athlete who is competing and not the president or the country. I think we should focus more on the gymnast and not on nationalisms that only take away the meaning of the sport.
