Watching this in 2023 happy to report they seem to have listened and fixed the caps. I recently bought both versions and both bottles have caps that snap securely into place. 😌 pure perfection

Agnes Eva Some people have negativity in their heart and they have to releases it sometimes . I made these comments because you are volatile like a perfume. You are very sensitive to the fragrances, but your sensitivity can be felt on the emotional level and you may get hurt easy .
You are a smart and empathetic person... You are right. I'm emotional, sensitive... and get hurt easily, of course. But I work on it. I want to grow and improve my character... I was told many times that I'm a very strong person because I'm through a lot in my life but I'm also too weak sometimes. I can fight like a tiger for peace and equity, I can risk my health to help other people, plants and animals... but then, when someone is rude to me my eyes water up and I can't fight for my own peace and run and hide. There was a time some months ago here on YT when I went through a huge hatestorm because of something I didn't mean like it came out and my reaction was, instead of fighting and explaining, to stop posting videos and hide crying in my apartment. Stupid stupidity... I want to learn to fight and protect myself too, not only other people. At school they called me Mother Teresa and Robin Hood but on the other hand I was bullied a lot and was unable to do anything against it. Strange, isn't it? @@dorelrotar1372
Just a clarification. Encre Noire was released in 2006, and Chanel released Sycamore in 2008. So interpret the "EN is a clone of Syc" only as a qualitative comparison, not as a detraction from the artistic significance of EN.
I have owned the Extreme flanker but sold it. I loved the opening - to me very masculine. But later in the drydown it 100% reminded me of the only one thing - a new wooden furniture ... it's so dry and woody ... I love the smell but I'm not sure if I want to smell like a wooden kitchen cabinet or a wardrobe, LOL. And about the canned pea smell - to me it smelled like a pen ink.
Please bring back your other Encre Noire line video... the one where you explained and compared all 4 editions. It was so great and it was one of the only videos mentioning the female version on all of RU-vid. Its a great reference video, and very entertaining. I can't seem to find it anymore... bring it back, if possible.

Also, have you tried the other flanker “Ombré Noire”? I only recently discovered it, and it’s a new love. It’s different from the others… rich, boozy, spicy, and yet dry at the same time.

when i was on a path to building my oversized collection,EN was the very first bottle of cologne that i smelled and thought, "WOw, this smells so exotic"
It's still in my TOP 10 favorite fragrances of my oversized (LOL) collection and will always be :) It's a masterpiece, fantastic composition... I could never be without it and if I wouldn't plan to film a review of another fragrance tonight I would go and spray it on now :) I could wear it every day for months and wouldn't get bored of it :) Stay healthy! @@AgnesEva i learned a lot collecting over 500 bottles of different colognes...and have been widdling my collection down...there's a whole range of newer scents that grew intensely cloying to me..im not even sure of which notes are the offensive ones...but im an older chap (like chris) and the old stuff is still the best stuff.I enjoy your channel and am now a subscriber.You too stay healthy

"canned peas" is possibly the metallic/wet cement of cashmeran? plus the khaki drab green of juniper/cypress in the drydown? plus some musk with a dead green/metallic edge?

There's an experienced perfume lover talking :) Yes, this might be it. :) I have another bottle of Encre Noire on its way to my place because I have emptied the one from the video :) It's a very long time ago that I have filmed it. :) I gave A L'Extreme to my dad because it smelled a lot better on him and he has emptied the bottle too. But he won't be purchasing it again. He likes the original more too. :) The bottle I'm getting is an older one. From 2015. EN was reformulated in the beginning of 2017. I'm very curious how the older version smells like. I'm thinking of ordering another bottle of the new version too. To compare. :)
@@AgnesEva The original Encre Noire was my work scent for 3+ years--until I worried I was maybe smoking out the more refined sensibilities of my office and switched to Terre d'Hermes. [Now wearing Armani Code, so homogeneity wins in North American workplaces where people are fragrance-averse; SIGH.] Your review is elfin and well-reasoned and clever! I also bought the A L'Extreme [in Quebec, Canada, and buying from Fragrancex] because the only thing I love more than vetiver is frankincense. In my head they're two separate scents entirely. A L'Extreme is like if the original had a more clever brother, more complex, more saturnalian but also more thoughtful. When I get home from work I have to watch all your reviews now loll. I bought it 3 days ago and there's something strange that I have been experiencing, these past 3 days. First day, it was smelling nothing but very woody, second day it was having very rosy smell and now it's smelling very lipsticky. Am I the only one to experience this?

I ordered samples of them both, and I am in love with AL'Extreme , the original version is not my thing. In AL Extreme in the opening, instead of canned peas I get a note of liquor soaked cherries in dark chocolate, but it dissappears in 2 minutes. I love it!
My bottle came today : D. Everyone says its a strong scent and i guess its true because i had to really think whether i hated it or not. The opening note was such a surprise, and I smelt something metallic and boozy. So far I've settled on respecting it. For me Encre Noire EDP smells like a nice cooled whisky, like a bottle of black label.

First time I ever heard someone describe l’extreme as slightly more feminine lol, and the green peas reference is new 😂. I own all three, and all of them are great. EN is my overall favorite, love it simplicity, followed by the richness and darkness of l’extreme, and finally the versatility of sport, all in that order. Btw I enjoyed your review.
I like Vetiver but few this one was disaster my friends hated it too! I bought it couple hours after checking your review! I’ll go with original Vetiver by creed and Rasasi Woody again! I used to have Zara Vetiver it was real good too

You're sweet:)...everybody is talking about encre noire similarities with sycomore,but I find Syc more refined and polite than Lalique,which is to my nose much harsher,and more raw,and that said,I like sycomore-more.And Diptyque vetyverio is another favourite...in two days,I'll receive A L' extreme,and don't know what to expect.Very curious.
You put the cap on the wrong way! 😅 No wonder it falls off, you can clearly see in the video that they are not closed. I have all 3 and they are mostly the only thing I spray on me. The original is the strongest regarding the vetiver. Because there is not a lot of other notes in it, you can clearly smell the evergreen pines at the beginning which transform to a warmer wood smell with a bit of a musky feel. The sport version is close to that in my opinion but less "piney" and more fresh fruits at the start. The drydown also feels cooler. The a l'extreme is farther away from it and far more complex. I don't smell peas. It's a bomb of many facettes of warm smoke like "Räucherstäbchen". It's my favorite one :)

The extreme version smelled like new wooden office furniture, while the other smelled like vintage wooden wardrobe..I didn't get any canned beans odour...TG or I'd hate it..
Cool. I just sprayed so of the encre extreme on but i have to spray alot on. Like 10 sprays to get it to project. Then i can smell the powdery iris which i love. But have you recieved any compliments yet from wearing it yet. By the way i am subsribeing
I have a bottle of dolce and gabbana the one edp comeing in the mail tomorrow and dior homme parfum comeing wednesday. Thanks for responding and i wish you all the best. Before i go, this is what i get from encre extreme. When first sprayed i get the pathuoli, leather, and vetiver. Then i get powdery iris, then i get violet leaf, sometimes petroleum, and then finally woods. Take care
@Eva There's someone on the net that made an article about how it doe not smell like sweet peas, BUT they have a picture of canned peas. Canned peas and sweet peas smell completely different! Extreme dry down smells exactly like canned sweet peas! That website author bought the wrong vegetable! I felt it was weird, bit now I know why. P.S. Marry Me... jk... maybe... maybe not...

Great content I sniffed the Encre Noir at a local perfume shop at the mall, I like the scent it has a dark vibe and dark wet or musky Vetiver and I love the note of Vetiver, I might ended picking up a bottle of the Encre Noire down the road, and have a great, blessed, positive, productive and safe week and weekend. 👍👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️👌👌👌👌👌

People call me Miyake-Queen now, LOL, because I love the house of Miyake and have reviewed many of them. I have 21 Miyake fragrances in my collection now but EN is, for me, on the same Love-Level with Miyake. I wear it very often, it makes me smile and it's fantastic quality. I wore it yesterday and on Monday :). I'm on my second bottle now an even though my collection grew and I have smelled many wonderful fragrances since I've made this video (it's 1,5 years ago) I still am a huge fan of EN and can't be without it. :) It will always be in my collection. I have sold many of my bottles for different reasons, would be interesting to talk about this. Today I have sold New York Oud, the Bond No9 one, and I’m happy about this because my life has changed a lot and I can‘t handle heavy ouds anymore. My overall taste got a bit brighter and lighter and less complicated. I wear my old Mugler Cologne a lot for example :)
My caps stayed on the bottles and I emptied at leat 8 bottles of the original EN. But please don't advertise the greymarket prices of the perfumes as the normal retail prices. The RRPs of them are (in Germany) 80 to 90€. For my very first bottle I paid 72€ (with discount), but this was before the greymarket shop went big.
Okay... what is 'greymarket'? The prices I'm mentioning in my videos are always the prices I find in the shops I buy my perfumes at. And it's different shops. I never buy my perfumes in stationary shops because it's more comfortable to buy online... I have never seen EN for such a high price... It's always like 20-30 Euros... I didn't even know that it was so expensive...

16:43 I can feel you. This happened to many perfume bottles I loved. I had to wrap black tape around the atomizer, so that the cap would fit in securely.
I think with Encre Noire, you need to push in the cap harder. It's a harder cap to click and remove, and some people are too afraid to click it. Pretty sure Agnes' both bottles are fine if she pushes the cap in!
Love your energy and your place you looks really cool. Nice guitar. I LOVE both these fragrances. Extreme may be my favorite just because it’s a bit more complex.

Agnes Eva ah thank you Agnes for responding so soon. I bought grey Vetiver because I love soapy scents. Plus I love incense so this hit all spots for me. As much as I buy looking for the ultimate ‘me’ scent I remain loyal to Acqua Di Parma essenza........takes me to a remarkably happy place
I have noticed that the canned peas only appear when the temperature goes down in the fall and winter. I don't get that when it's hot in the summer. :)
I did not even know there was both a edt and edp of sycamore. It or they are on my list of vetiver's to try. I have been on a vetiver kick the last two months. oh, I'm a space alien too. :)

@@AgnesEva After seeing several reviews I got the Sport version, It's pretty unique, lacks projection power but I am satisfied, keeps me fresh in the summer and it's an interesting smell :)

SO true😄I HATED my hair back then. I’ve actually hated my hair for most of my life. It’s the first time I kinda like it. But the bangs still have to grow a couple inches so I can layer them and make them blend with the rest of the hair better. Thank you. HAPPY EASTER! :)

great video! hehe you have a very good personality. and no worries, we all record spontaneously. When you record more videos it becomes more clockwork. LOL for most videos I don't even edit much just learned that direct uploads are more effective

Unerträglich finde ich die total überzogenen möchtegern-anspruchsvollen Roman-Reviews, wo von irgendwelchem pseudo-dichterischem Zeugs gelabert wird, über mehrere Seiten, bis dann mal endlich ein paar Worte zum Parfum gesagt werden. Manche erzählen auch ihre gesamte Lebensgeschichte... grausam. Und bei mir hat man sich beschwert, dass meine Reviews dort zu kurz sind und ich nur Links zu meinen Videos abgebe. Aber wenn diese Option denn da ist? Und ich nun mal Revews filme? Ich liebe alle ENs und habe auch ein Vergleichsvideo gemacht. Vielleicht interessiert dich das auch. Ich habe auch die Frauen-Version. Gestern habe ich EN Sport getragen :)
