Imagine if the children of the world had to witness live orchestra music at least once a month, let alone participate in it? I.Q.'s would rise. The ability to co-mingle with others without resent or judgement would just come naturally, as a result of harmony, love, & music. Every smack of the djemba, taps of the bongos, blows of the brass, & stokes of the strings would represent love by all. All kinds of kids working together, to make one beautiful piece. Why would anyone hate anyone after that?
Yo tenia tan solo 4 años de edad cuando en 1966 se estreno este gran y espectacular tema por Don Lalo Schiprin su autor , este tema seguirá teniendo muchas versiones y películas a pesar del tiempo transcurrido ya hoy tengo 60 y me sigue encantando ya que como decía mi abuelo lo bien hecho , eso siempre va a perdurar, saludos a todos los aquí presentes desde MEXICO...
Existen pocos artistas tan versátiles como el argentino Lalo Schifrin (Buenos Aires, 1932), quien a lo largo de sus más de seis décadas de carrera ha compuesto bandas sonoras para más de 100 filmes y series de televisión. El gran público lo recordará por la inolvidable melodía que creó en 1966 para la serie "Misión Imposible", pero suya es también la música de series míticas como "Mannix" o "Starsky y Hutch" y de películas como "The Cincinnati Kid", "Cool Hand Luke", "Bullitt" o "Harry el sucio".
Excelente presentación de Don Lalo desde la república Checa...como olvidar los años 60 s yo era un niñito pero recuerdo en 1969 la serie de televisión del mismo nombres entre otros..

He won the 1968 Grammy Award for 'Best Original Score - TV Show' {he has been nominated twenty-one times and has won four times}... Besides 'Mission - Impossible' he has composed the score for twelve other TV series and a 'unbelievable' 164 movies... Mr. Schifrin, born Boris Claudio Schifrin, will celebrate his 82nd birthday come next June 21st...
I have loved this practically all my life, the first time I heard it on the TV it captured me I just wished it was longer, a delight to learn Mr Schifrin wrote more of it, the full theme is very mellow and a great piece of Jazz in it's own right, pity we didn't get more on the Mission Impossible shows, but I don't suppose the television networks would have given it a long intro One of my other all time favourites is the superb music for Bullitt, also by this musical Genius!

I played some videos of old t v shows I grew up watching for my kids and they went crazy !!! They were inviting all their friends over to watch and asking where had this stuff been all these years and why had it been taken off in the first place and how great it was ( especially TOPO GIGIO) . they loved the music from the theme songs a lot . I almost had tears in my eyes thinking of all the time that had past .
In 1967, when I bought my first Lalo Schiffrin's LP, I realized that he was a music genius. But now ... pft ... I'M SURE that he is one of the pillars of movie music. "Officially" he is not among the top 10. It should be enough the Mission Impossible theme to put him among the top 5, with John Williams and 3 other equivalents.
I saw him direct our symphonic orchestra in PR for a movie & TV music concert. When they played this, the place wanted to explode with excitement. BTW, he also played the Mannix theme. It was a phenomenal experience.
