Lamlela Ndwandwe
This was one of the Ndwandwe victory song during the battle of uMhlathuze river between the Zulus and The Ndwandwe tribe in 1819.
The Ndwandwes used Shaka zulu’s tactics not knowing that Shaka had other plans. They started singing the Ndwandwe victory songs such as this one before winning the battle.
The Zulus won and some of the Ndwandwes moved to present day Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania.
