9km of beautiful Aussie sunshine and beach weather on the last day of the Tour Down Under 2018. Here's a nice roll with Von and SLane before we headed into the city to catch Stage 6. This was shot on a GoPro Hero6 in 2.7k to see how nicely it came out. I'm pretty happy with the result.

What impresses me is quality of the road surface in Adelaide! Unlike the roads here in the UK. Looks like an absolute dream Shane, loving the footage!

City roads aren't bad but you get some bad ones the rural roads beyond the hills are mainly gravel. I rode extensively in the UK a couple of years back and i thought the roads were lovely and smooth albeit a bit narrow.

I have the Hero3 as well. It was good at the time... now days the standard is much higher.

The Hero 6 has really impressed me. I've got another (almost raw) video to upload in a day or so of an empty country road ride I did to test out how well it did in harsh/dry/bright conditions.

Rode it quiet a few times most morning before the start of every start stage, before hitting the hills, not many traffic lights and a little cooler on 35+ degree days with searing heat coming off the inland roads

Rode once from Henley beach where i was staying up to Port Adelaide and back, really nice beaches and flat as hell :P

flat roads are good when you have di2 failure, rode 360km on a single gear and the rest on a week there

Darryl BB UK has some great spots I used to live in the UK and live in Adelaide and miss country lane riding in the UK and Europe. Both places are good, you can get a flight to Calpe or Majorca cheap so that's a plus

While I'm here, Im pretty sure you crossed my path on Saturday while I was walking west on Flinders street in Adelaide. You had a black Thule backpack and I was an inch away from saying gday but Im too old old to be a fanboy. Do you carry a specific powerbank to keep all your device's charged? The question that confronts me is do I lace a custom front wheel with a Dynamo hub for 300km rides or do I just carry the best powerbank that will keep everything running for 15 hours?

So jealous of your summer rides, man. We're in freezing winter here in Europe. Well, not that freezing in Spain, you know, but still winter. It sucks.

If it makes you feel.better we also have a CD winter in southern Australia, last year we had snow in the hills. Melbourne and Hobart gets very vs and many go north or to Bali to get a Break.THe north if Oz is warm all year but also more humid. Summers in Spain and even winters aren't too cold best to get over there for a break

Summers are pretty hot here, TBH. Winters are not like in UK, so to say, but the are definitely shitty, hahaha. Humidity, cold, less hours of daylight... HELL.
