Lamar Jackson took to Twitter this morning and shared to fans, saying quote: 'Let me personally answer your questions in regards to my future plans. As of March 2nd, I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value. Any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team win the Super Bowl. You all are great but I had to make a business decision that was best for my family and I.' Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, LeSean McCoy and Ric Bucher react to Lamar tweeting about his trade request.

Lol I am A die hard Ravens fan and we will still finish 6-11 lol. That defense will win those 6 games lol. Have a better chance of reuniting Stefan Bennett with his former OC. Lol The Ravens won super bowls when they had a above average quart back. I love Lamar, but I never thought Lamar could outright win the the SB with the Ravens, he never fit the Ravens style wise. Ozzie gave the ravens a true gift. A generational talent, they held onto Greg Roman too long , and didn't give Lamar Jackson the wide receivers that his peers had . He had to put this team on his back. Roman was an introductory piece. But when Lamar showed he could carry this team with the least amount of help , when the team was depleted . Yhe year Josh got his deal with a number one in Diggs . That should have been Lamars year. We thought we where done but Lamar passed the ball and used receivers that wouldn't start on any other team. Up until we lost more players like up to 19 starters he got injured passing from the pocket a true unicorn.

Sometimes these sports shows tick me off lol. This is a simple case of one party saying they’re worth “x”, the other part thinks the first is worth “y”, and they can’t come to an agreement. I’d even say the exact reason why they used the non exclusive tag. They wanted him back but didn’t want to pay the asking price. That way, the team can see what the market value is and pay that.

I've been saying things like this. Like how does a Team pay some QB more than a QB that's been actually winning the championship? Before Brady retired, NO ONE should've been getting paid more than Brady. Now that he's retired, NO QB should be making more than Mahomes. I don't care if they have team-friendly contracts that help the team get a supporting cast. Their salary should be the max for any other QB. Should not even be matching it if you haven't won.

And once again, these guys act as if the Ravens don’t want to spend money. They’re going to spend the same money, with or without him. The question is, do you want to spend 20%+ of your cap on ONE PLAYER, when almost every team that has followed this trend has declined. Everyone trashes Cleveland year after year, and for good reason. Why, now, does everyone want the Ravens to follow them after they made one of the dumbest moves in NFL history by throwing away their present (due to cap space) and their future (because they traded so many picks) to get Waton who, by the way, couldn’t save the Texans either. Add to that, Lamar Jackson is WAY over-hyped. He was MVP ONE SEASON… FOUR FLIPPING YEARS AGO. He’s turned in one singular healthy season since, and hasn’t exactly lead the Ravens to glory. The Ravens don’t think he’s worth the money he wants. Who are we to argue with them? It isn’t our team and it isn’t our money.

The one problem is the QB usually has a no-trade clause so they will have to agree to it. Plus you may okay not be able to offload him. The eagles did take a big hit. They paid the majority of the money for Carson in his signing bonus. That's cash money. His actual salary wasn't that high compared to other starters when he got traded.

Lamar is the NFL's "Must See TV" ticket and the entire league knows it. The MVP off season should have been the time to write the check that AT THAT TIME made business sense. He might have been the highest paid player at that time, but I am sure he was trying to be a nice guy... I made that mistake in baseball (top 50 pick) and regret it to this day. I hope he's MVP again somewhere...or even back in Baltimore!

Honestly here is the issue, where are the other team offers then? Lamar has been open for 2-3 weeks to sign a deal with another team. Yet there are NONE. Could it be... he is asking for too much? He is stuck with the ravens unless he wants to end his career and not sign and sit out for 1-2 years. Cause right now, he needs another offer outside of the ravens, and yet there are none.

There are none for two reasons. 1.) the tag. If he negotiates a deal with another team it’s a lose lose for The other team in that either the Ravens just match it, or they have to give up two first rounders and still have to pay Lamar. Which essentially means if you’re a team rebuilding, you almost guarantee yourself you can’t build around him for the foreseeable future. Better solution is just to wait. Whether the situation plays out over 3 months or 2 years, he’s only 25 and will eventually be a free agent. 2.) no team wants to be the team that goes against the league agenda of not making fully guaranteed deals like Watson’s the market and not the outlier.

Maybe you all should stop referring to him as a franchise QB. The Ravens offered him a 3 year- 133 million contract and he rejected it. I’m not sure where other people land on this, but a franchise QB needs to look at winning as being paramount, and they need to be available. Let’s take a look at some numbers. Lamar has missed 10 of his last 22 games. Since 2018, QB’s who have played in at least 3 playoff games, Lamar has the lowest completion percentage and the lowest QBR. I am not giving a guy a five year, 231 million dollar fully guaranteed contract if I question his ability to stay on the field or his ability in the postseason. Sorry, not going to happen.

This is a classic moment where a player over values himself. Lamar told the ravens he was worth 200 million and the ravens said ok show us another team willing to pay u that. So far no teams in the NFL agrees with Lamar. It’s the same thing with jimmy G. The people who said he was a good QB, all the people who disagreed used the fact that no team wanted to trade for him as their proof he wasn’t good. They paid Flacco to be the highest paid QB in the league twice, after he got them to a Super Bowl, then they struggled for the next few years until other QB contracts surpassed Flacco's. They ain't going down that road again. And as to the hometown discount thing, there was a time Brady was the highest paid QB in the league ... Guess what, those were the years the Patriots weren't winning titles. Mahomes is the smartest QB in the league if you goal is to be remembered as one of the GOATs.

Until these folks know what other teams are willing to pay Lamar, they can’t say he wasn’t treated fairly. No team pays more than they have to. As a Raven fan, we have never overpaid for players and as the saying goes "no man is bigger than the program". I agree with a lot of the sentiments stated here, but as a fan I think the hesitation may have been the consistency. With what I said before, a guaranteed ax contract is going to be a hard sell. I am a big fan of Lamar (how could I not be) but I say, go get your money Lamar. I believe the smartest insurance policy that the organization has done is to place the non exclusive franchise tag on him to ensure that when he goes, we get pieces in return. I hope things can be worked out but I truly doubt it. Go get your money, Lamar. Thanks for what you have done for the team and the city

It took them months to cherry pick an example of one QB getting a big deal after being injured. Burrow is 5-2 in the post season one of those loses was the SB. Now we got Watson and Burrow and because of this the Raven's need to give Lamar a giant contract... What happened to Wiley? The show was a bit more coherent then.
