That fact that after all these years he still remembers chops name makes me happy for some reason. It's like this game and his role in it really was a big part of his life
Gotta remember that voice actors don't just turn up and read for one or two days. Voice acting for a game like GTA took years. And you gotta assume that not only did he work on it for years but he probably also played it lol. So even though it was a while ago, it was a key part of his life.

1:59 For anyone who ever wondered this: In the game the animations are always performed by "invisible skeletons". People grab or make 3D models, put the invisible skeleton in there and tell the bones what part of the model to move. The process is called rigging and will take some time if you want it to look good (facial animations and joint bending).
I used to hate on Lamar, but then he backs you up at the end of the game, and anyone who will show up to fight the government, gang members and other armed dudes with you, then he’s a real friend.

@@Anecia0310 mc eiht and dj quik had a beef with each other back in the 90s back during one of the heights of gang banging. One being from tragnew (Compton crip) and another being from the trees (Compton piru/blood). If you play gta V the song dollaz + sense that comes on the west coast classics radio is a diss song from quik to eiht from his album safe + sound.
It genuinely makes me happy how much this guy knows about GTA and the gaming community in general. You can tell he's not one of those VA's that just shows up, reads his lines, grabs his check, and goes. He knows the characters names, he understands some of the inside jokes. I really really liked too how he was able to point out Ryder and pay respect to MC Eiht obviously he's still alive but it's dope that like he just doesn't know Eiht as a "rapper buddy of his who did a video game back in the day", he can actively name off his character and just shows the connection he has to the scene which I think is really dope. Like the fact he can rattle off that Franklin's Bagger from the story is stolen is another example.
