Hi YT Friends! Lamb's Ear is one of my favorite perennial bed ground covers that can add texture and contrast to your perennial borders and garden beds! It is hardy is zones 4-9 and can handle drought conditions, full sun, full shade...you name it! We are going to divide it, transplant it and I'll show you how to treat pests and maintain it, although, it needs minimal maintenance. It will provide you with a beautiful contrast of color in your perennial beds. Sending a sincere thank you for watching and liking this video! Also, make sure you subscribe...we are creating a beautiful perennial bed in my front yard and you don't want to miss it! ~ Have a wonderful day! Dawn

Lambs ear does great for me and I don't have to do anything to it. I haven't divided yet but I'm glad to know how.

Hi Dee! Thank you for watching and I apologize for that! It was too late in filming when I realized that I did not have my microphone on in the beginning of the video ...eeek! I thought it was manageable. The technical details really mess me up...lol! I recently filmed an entire video with the microphone off - ugh!!

Do you have to cut the leaves off if it's drooping?
@shadedfromreality
@shadedfromreality 4 месяца назад
No, but it will give your plant a better chance to bounce back quicker from having its roots disturbed! Mine is already sprouting since I made this video!

You refer to where you live, it would be helpful if we knew what zone you live in for reference on the plants.

I have what I believe to be a lambs ear just pop up unexpectedly in my garden… How can I tell if it’s mullein or lambs ear? Wait till it blooms? How did it get there? lol I’m so curious…. 😂❤
@shadedfromreality
@shadedfromreality 4 месяца назад
Oh...well, that's always a fun surprise and mystery! I love it when that happens. I think you can tell if it is growing/forming like a rosette from the center. If it is, it's mullein!
