Nice talk! Wish they'd have gone more in depth of where it's actually useful. The invoice example was cool, but didn't really quite entice me. I'm sure there's plenty of places where it could be useful, just would have been nice for it to be a bit more concrete. But perhaps that's out of scope for this shortish talk.
Hi Emily, thanks for the feedback. I tried to provide in the first section of the talk a bit of context of where category theory could be useful in applications. Regarding the example, there would be much more to say about it, I just wanted to convey the idea that you can use those ideas for something practical. Maybe next time I'll try to use a more real-world example
