I'd find it easier to follow along if you would rewrite the equations step by step rather than modifying what you've already written.

Absolutely horrible way to teach! It’s.because of people like this that people completely give up,on math When you say “let’s divide by 8x. You completely lose me and likely a lot of the audience! Why not divide by Pi , while we are at it, why not the Plank constant? Why not divide by Avogadro’s number? AN ABSOLUTE AND COMPLETE DISASTER AS A TEACHER!

now you need a good spanking. This aint the teachers fault, its the solvers problem. He needs to be able to recognize what to do when. That is maths- logic. And you can only develop this by solving a variety of questions...only then you can realize at that point which method to apply or which path to go down. Avagodros num or pi or whatsoever doesnt end us with the solution, if no i'd like u to prove otherwise

This is no step by step solution. Is the value of x ,a real number or a complex one? If complex,it should have been in the form a+jb .How the graph has been drawn is also not clear. Anyway thanks for your efforts.

Yes its a pretty rough graph. Was thinking of redoing this video. I should have mentioned that we are looking for real solutions. Anyway in that region of the graph I show towards the end between 0 and -1/e you will have 2 real solutions. For values > 0 you have 1 real solution. For values < -1/e you have no real solutions. But in all cases you have an infinite number of complex solutions.

A complex solution can we obtained by calculating the W₁ branch of the Lambert W function for the given value, which results in a complex solution of x = 2.34760075 - 4.50573993i

The solution for the general case a^x=bx+c is - (1/ln a* W[ - a^(-c/b)*l(n a)/b ] +c/b ).For a second solution one has to replace W[x] by W[-1,x] .
