When I was a kid, my uncle used to listen to this song (in Iran), after he passed away I searched it and it refreshed lots of memories. I didn't know its meaning but it transfers the feeling through a common language of the tone.
@@ΓιώργοςΓλήνης My mum used to sing this all the time when I was a kid, for years I could never find the song until months ago I found this one. She told me there is an original version but could not remember the names and i could not find it because my greek is still not good, but now thanks to this comment I have finally found it!!! Φίλε μου ευχαριστώ πόλι from the bottom of my heart thank you!
I had a Greek friend in College, and She introduced me to this song. I am Persian, and don't speak Greek, but love this song and feel like I know how they feel. Thank you Maria from Brighton Mass. USA Parvaneh
Used to listen to this song over and over many years ago not understanding a word if it and not knowing that many years later will fall in love with a Greek girl and marry her. I love you Zoy. I still don't understand the words to this song but you have been the love if my life for the last 30 years and will be as long as I live.
And here is where you'll find a lot of Persian people who can take the bridge that this amazing and memorable song creates to the good times in 70's. oh boy.... how fun. thank you
Based on the comments, it looks like this song has created a very long "bridge", connecting Greece to Iran. This proves that a song with beautiful and harmonious music can certainly be felt and enjoyed, even if you don't understand the lyrics.

You look like a very beautiful flower on earth; you are in the desert an inexhaustible source of water;you only you (esi mono esi); You look like the sun in the blue sky;shining star in the sweet night fall;I will love you till I become you and you become me and until the future, the present the past;I will love you;You look like summer in the cloudiness of life a warm hope in the chill of the heart; You look like a bright dewdrop in the morning;perfume brought from a far away land
