If u wanna test top speed go to classic tokyo, and go on the highway, turn around and go in the tunnel. At the end of the tunnel turn around and floor it
I wish I had a better computer and discovered the game earlier, the 288 is both fast and beautiful looking, it's both boxy and curvy with flowing lines mixed with a turbo v8 this car is worth every penny, the tier 4 looks, performance, and price make this both a car that is highway worthy and be able to make you file for chapter 9 bankruptcy

Classic Tokyo - I suggest the Mitsubishi Evo 9, as it is grippy, light and can make corners easily. Shuto Expressway - I suggest the Honda NSX NA2, as it turns strong at high speeds, accelerates fast, and has a high top speed. Mt. Otsuki - Audi Quattro Sport - Lightweight, takes bumps/gutters well, turns easily, accelerates better than average cars. Classic Tokyo - Nissan R32 GT-R, Brakes well, good top speed, corners smoothly, and well planted.
