Lamdon Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence, Education, & Impact,
His Holiness the Dalai Lama has kindly consented to preside over the Lamdon Golden Jubilee and Lamdon Yarchos Chenmo to be tentatively held in July 2023. In the last five decades, thousands of students graduated from this institution. Over the last 50 years, this school has a rich legacy of shaping Ladakh by producing Doctors, Engineers, Bureaucrats, Scientists, Educators, Entrepreneurs, Army Officers, and Police Officers. Today we can see the footprints of Lamdon within and outside Ladakh.
Lamdon School is proud to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, and to mark this milestone, the school is organizing a spectacular flash mob dance performed by students. The event was held on 03 May 2023 at 05:00 PM at the Leh main market. The flash mob dance was a way for the school to show its spirit and commemorate its long-standing commitment to excellence and education. “We are thrilled to be celebrating 50 years of excellence, education and impact. The flash mob dance was just one of the many ways to celebrating our achievements and looking forward to the future." Dr. Stanzin Dawa, Principal. The flash mob dance feature 113 dancers to mark the significance of His Holiness Dalai Lama’ assurance to 113 years. The students have been practicing for weeks to ensure a flawless performance; the group suddenly assembles in the Leh market space to perform a choreographed dance often surprising and delighting onlookers. The dance was a tribute to the school's proud history of providing quality education to students from all walks of life. This was a fun and creative way to promote the Lamdon Golden Jubilee and Lamdon Yarchos Chenmo.
The main characteristic of the Flash Mob Dance it was unexpected. The dancers perform a choreographed dance that involves synchronized movements, creating a visually stunning effect. Once the performance was over, the dancers quickly disperse and blend back into the crowd, as if nothing had happened.
