The best iteration of Batman of all time, in my honest opinion, is the one from Batman the Animated Series from 1992. It makes his ideals of "no killing" make sense, but also make it more specifically "no guns," because that's what killed his parents. Not only was he merciful, but he legit tried to help the people he was fighting, and typically only beat the shit out of them when he knew that he otherwise couldn't get through to them. Also, he wasn't an unstoppable tank that beat people into hospital debt, there were several close calls in the series or times where he was beat senseless and had to figure out a way to stop the villain. Batman TAS is totally GOATed and if you haven't seen it yet you need to stop what you're doing and watch it right now, fr
What about the joker, bane, penguin, ra alghul etc. Honesty I prefer flash point batman he is good. Batman da biggest simp after forgiving joker for what he did to Barbara.
@@edteh1838 that's the thing tho, Flashpoint Batman was considered evil for killing his enemies EVEN THOUGH his enemies were also doing evil things. Like yeah, by killing "the bad guys" he was eliminating the problem entirely by doing so, but he was also no better than them because of it (which from what I understand is also literally the plot of one of the Arkham Knight games, which I wouldn't know because I haven't played them yet) Also, the best Joker imo is also from Batman TAS because Mark Hamill is fucking iconic at voicing him. For the Penguin, idk about the "best", but my favorite was in another cartoon batman series that was just called "The Batman" that came out in like, early-mid 2000's, I think? And idk about Bane, I think his concept is cool but he's kind of a 1-trick pony, and the one time they tried to make him more than a brute (which he is), it was in the worst of the 3 Nolan Batman movies

Honestly, anyone could become a top tier superhero in My Hero Academia by just having a gun, like you got powers of ice and fire? Bitch what's your Referigerator and Microwave limited edition kitchen product combo package gonna do against a glock?
Aight, so I was wrong, you can't be an S tier hero with a glock, but hear me out my homies, if lego block guy and gary from spongebob has a chance of becoming heroes, then who says Glockman can't?
The Batman opinion is kinda understandable if someone isn't really a fan who knows a lot about the guy. I also thought that Batman was just this orphan in a suit who uses prep-time to win ,but then I got into the Batman Arkham games and man, those games are a fucking masterpiece. You'll actually get invested in the lore and have this urge to find out more. The thing about Arkham's little details is that they have this unnerving feeling when you discover them. Other than that, you'll find out that there's much to Batman. He's mastered 127 martial arts, is literally the best detective in the world e.t.c. So in conclusion, play the Arkham Games, you'll love them (I do have to admit though, not killing the Joker is some heavy bs)
I wanna find time to get to learning the Arkham lore. I personally love Batman for the fact that he proves that powers don’t make the man, but pure will power.
The MHA one is beyond true. Half of these superpowers/quirks/mutations (whatever its all the same) are USELESS. These are some of the most useless, niche abilities Ive ever seen in writing. Its like having the ability to crack your neck on command.

That's kind of why free use of quirks is illegal unless one has a hero license. Granted using one's quirk in public feels like one of those laws one isn't going to automatically get one arrested for unless it actually leads to public endangerment. Still I see the point, in a world where some people have massively destructive powers at their finger tips, and others have extremely passive powers like having slightly longer arms, free gun ownership for public self defense isn't the worst idea in the world.

Yeah, batman is a very strong character, besides him having no powers he can probably take on the strongest dc and mcu characters. But his whole " justice not revenge" really does make him the look spineless as he is causing deaths himself by actively refusing to terminate Gotham threat
This is why I love Spider-Man so much. He’s probably been one of the most well written superheroes in the history of heroes. He has reasonable powers that don’t make him feel over powered. Being Spider-Man has consequences in his normal life as Peter Parker and he has to find a way to juggle it all while trying not to tell anyone he is Spider-Man since there is a chance of his friends and family getting hurt/killed because of this. Plus his life as Peter Parker is RELATABLE AS FUCK.
There were also times that when his villains went too far with their actions was when he really started taking them seriously. No cap, he beat the snot outta Goblin in Ultimate Spiderman, that fucker didn’t get back up again. Well I mean until usual comic bullshit brought him back but still, there was a limit to what he’d allow his villains to let slide.

@@Christian-mt5jx episodes of most live action shows are usually around an hour long, but episodes of anime are only like 23 minutes long. 20 if you don’t count the intro and the outro. Also most seasons of anime are like 12-25 episodes long, so 5 episodes for the whole villain arc is pretty weak.

It shouldn't be Batman's responsibility to kill the Joker. Plus, why aren't we blaming it on Arkham Asylum's dogshit security? That place is made out of popsicle sticks and boogers.
I mean it's not really batman fault that the arkham asylum which is designed to be a jail for all these criminals and is supposed to also cure the mentally ill people is not competent enough to make sure that these criminals stay there for more than 3 months. I get the video is satire of sorts. But Aquaman is badass. He’s a founding JL member, he can control water which covers 80% of the earth. I hate when people use the “what if he’s not near water” there’s this thing called Water Humidity. He can also theoretically blood bend and kill every human on earth with the snap of his fingers because our bodies are also mostly water. He also protects majority of the earth (the ocean) whereas most heroes protect one city. He also is the king of an empire Edit: also his skin is bulletproof and durable to most materials because of water pressure he lives and his body has adapted to. Also you complained about Batman not killing his villains yet diss Aquaman. Aquaman has ZERO problems killing someone if it comes to it. the "Japan laws" argument for why you don't see more guns in M.H.A is kind of bullshit when you think about it. it's a fictional world, with whatever laws the author wants. it's basically fantasy. the only reason more characters don't use guns is: the author doesn't want to give his characters guns. simple as that. in his world they're effective. and available. so, the only diegetic explanation is that most of the characters don't like guns, or don't want to use them, for their own reasons. otherwise; it's a plot-hole. or, maybe plot-hole is too strong a word. small plot-gash?

I agree with Degen's remarks about Batman, that's exactly what batman is meant to be. A seemingly ideal but flawed individual. The death of his parents sowed the seeds to his sense of justice and hunger for strength which both has its own flaws. The character embodies humanity's triumph and struggle against downfall and evil but we still manage to fail at times. Batman has the intellectual and material capabilities to defeat a being like Superman but fails to defeat joker who is a mere human who happen to exist because of the loophole in the judicial ideology of Batman which doesn't encourage capital punishment and excessive violence or conflict. But still Joker exists purely because of his lack of selfworth and his thought to the cost of human life. The rivalry between Joker and Batman is truly a polarizing relationship except for the fact that both of them are indeed insane in different ways. I rest my case.
There is also the fact that the GCPD (specially Gordon, who is friends with the bat) doesn't want Batman killing off criminals, because by their standards, Batman is just a vigilante, a useful one, but a vigilante who needs to be kept in check nontheless, and if he kills someone, by law, he will just turn into just another criminal in Gotham.
Well depending on which iteration of batman you're looking at him not killing his villains makes more than enough sense because he is supposed to be a symbol that inspires people to fight injustice and if the symbol of justice straight up murders people on his own accord how would that effect the people of Gotham who are supposed to emulate batman and does that mean they can kill anyone symply because they deemed them as unjust?
Batman would be a truly insane individual if it wasn't for the Robins and the rest of the batfamily. They were able to more or less restore his humanity, and while he still is flawed and isn't truly sane, he is doing way better here than he would be without them. Flashpoint's batman shows what a batman could have ended up as without any family, violent, unhappy, is even worse at moving on than Bruce. I feel like if Thomas had a Robin he would be doing much better
I will admit some of the MHA heroes are useless, but I'm pretty sure thats kinda the point. The chances of actually getting a good quirk have been shown to be pretty low in MHA which makes sense so it adds more realism to it
Batman has a set of rules due to his parents being killed, and swears to never kill, otherwise he's no better than the criminals he fights. That's why so many people like him, because he's an interesting character.
“Batman has a set of rules, due to his parents being killed, and swears to never do the right thing. Other wise he wouldn’t have anymore comics about him”
The mindset of Batman is a really scrambled one among most iterations, but I think he explains himself the best in Death in the Family. He said to Jason Todd (his adoptive son) "If I allowed myself to kill Joker, if I allowed myself to break my oath, God knows what I'd do-" Basically implying if he ever breaks his oath and kills he'd go into some bloodfrenzied or vengeful state where he'd kill all crinimals, even minor ones. Basically he also means if he kills a person directly, the number of killers increase. And it's not like his oath is there only for that, in his own mind it is a promise he made to a kid, an orphan that lost everything through a murder, so he won't allow himself to kill. Just thought I'd post this as a huge Batman nerd and fan, but I do understand if people still think he's stupid.
I love My Hero Academia because the characters are lovable and the show gets hype and serious and it’s very entertaining. And all the characters that he mentioned in the show were ether background or Side Characters so My Hero actually has good hero’s like All Might, Deku, and Todoroki so it’s not that bad!
I always found it funny how Midoriya was seen as "sub-human" for not having powers, yet I'd rather go against God with a Glock than having stretchy fingers or tape elbows
It's funny but I don't know why everyone complains about Batman not killing unironically. It's not his job, he gives the villains to the cops, it's their job to hold them till execution. And that being said most of the Batman villains are proven not guilty on the base of insanity and hence sent to Asylum instead of execution.
I don't get why people are so mad at Batman for not killing The Joker so far 2 people in the DCU killed The Joker and the whole world went to hell Has anybody forgotten about the Batman who laughs and injustice version of Superman They both killed The Joker and looked what happened

Point being, there are so many other female superheroes that actually have powers, why decide to not let anyone rip on Black Widow for being lame?
It's funny how people that don't understand Batman and Aquaman have the strongest opinions about them.
