"Lament" is a song taken from Etnika's album called "Żifna" [A Dance]. This song was written and interpreted by Frans Baldacchino, nicknamed "Il-Budaj". The melody of the song is based on traditional Maltese tune also known as "għana". It is pertinent to note that Etnika is a folkloristic Maltese group which strives to revive folkloristic tunes and traditional musical instruments.
