I make these all the time to put my dies in. I place a small magnet strip on a thin piece of cardboard from crackers or cereal boxes and slide them into the pockets
Hi Gi...I missed this one also....Love what you have done.....thank you so much for sharing....so think this is a terrific idea...I will definitely use it .....Bless you 💖💖💖
Yesterday I watched all parts of this journal. I had to make pockets. I admit, it took two of us to keep the little pocket parts in line. So I had fun with my hubby and made a beautiful part for my journal. Thanks.
Thank you so much for sharing! I have a dozen more ideas for these to use for ephemera. There just aren’t enough hours in the day!god bless and have a wonderful week. 🦋💗
I love laminating projects Gi & this one is no exception. I love it. Wonderful idea to place in a journal or even a mini album with little goodies inside. Be safe & TYFS
I love your laminated journal covers and pockets, we ( The Netherlands) are in lockdown till 8 or 9 Feb, so I will have to wait before I can get my hands on a laminator. Have a lovely day.
I am so excited to give all of your laminated projects a whirl. I especially like the clear pouches!! Can’t wait to get my dusty (no worries, I store it in the box) laminator out and make some of these. TFS!! ❤️
That was absolutely brilliant. I spend so much money on sheets to store my stamps. Now I can make my own to the width of the stamps I want to keep together. I could even put the names of the countries and something cute to fancy them up. I have always kept my Philately separate from my crafting, now I can join them ♥
Thank you so much Gi I really really love ❤️ this idea. And I really really have to agree with Patricia below, that you do indeed have the best ideas 💡. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I would love to see some ideas about how to decorate the inside journals. I love a journal with lots of writing space. You have the best ideas. I can't wait to see what is next.
I really loved this - especially when you mentioned stamp storage! Now you're going to make me buy a laminator!!!LOL I've wanted one for a while but this might be the justification. One comment for helping to line up the pockets and adhere 2 strips at the top - I know you worked on black so we could see but working on a gridded mat would assist with alingment of the pockets and the strips. And to put on 2 strips I think a dot of glue or two on the lower one and the same on the top one to line up to the lower. I'm not sure what wouls happen to the glue in the laminator but it only needs to be small and temporary - maybe even a glue dot or 2-sided tape would work. I was glad to see the laminator in your amazon store - I'll be sure to use your link! Thank You for all the inspiration.
Love this tutorial. You get two double pocket laminate pouches only using two laminate sheets. I would have wasted sheets before figuring that out. OK so I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack. The black background makes a lot of difference in being able to see the laminate sheets. TFS
Gi yet another fantastic idea, I made my lamented cover, then made my diary and now I will put these in. May I ask how you get your lovely straight edged papers that you put into your little books, I do struggle with that. Oh dear, it looked so easy, (well it was) found it frustrating to line my pockets up, as they were sliding, although it didn’t help that my pockets came rolled in with machine, so not nice and flat, I should have seen the writing on the wall then when I was struggling to do the simplest of tasks, so hey ho put it in my laminator and nothing came out the other side, so it’s obviously all mangled up inside machine, I am so sad as I wanted to do all the things you are making and also that I have broken my gift from my granddaughter so soon xxxx husband to the rescue, opened up machine and found the mangled sheet. Working again x
Gi, do you have a quick tutorial on what you do to make the cute paperclips in this video (i.e., the one with the little pearl on it)? I did a search but didn't see this one in particular. Thanks!
I’ve made several top-opening ones. Is it possible to safely cut just the laminated layers on the side, without cutting all the way through the bottom sheet, to have a side opening, instead? Thanks.,
Hi Gi. All shops are closed here at least until February 9th. So i have to look online for one. I cant wait to work with it. Your pockets are a great addition to the journal. But i can see that they wont stay flat. Do you have a solution for that? Tfs Hugs xxx Sonja
Hi Sonja, I added a Amazon link below to the laminator that I purchased. I think they will soften up a bit the more you use the pockets and stay flatter. Hugs Gi x
