Nice job Lamley 👏 on the review! But wow that AMC is a breath of fresh air that looks so Awesome!! And what a great jester for us muscle car guys & AMC crowd 👍👍
The AMC Rebel Machine actually debuted in the 2012 Boulevard line. Then was in Cool Classics in 2013, Entertainment in 2018 and finally the mainline in 2021. I love muscle cars, and it's nice to see something other then a Mustang or Camaro.
Wow. Really original stuff from Hot Wheels here, I haven’t seen anything similar from HW ever before. Really nice 1/87 scale unlicensed cabs on the trucks too. Great job HW!
Happy to see this set arriving in stores. Great selection of cars and seeing a replica of the 1971 Le Mans 917LH is great. Not a fan of the wheels though. Those dip dish, low profiles are not accurate at all and look out of place, almost ruining an otherwise very nicely done model.
I never noticed until you mentioned it that Hot Wheels has been getting auto manufacturers on board about putting their logos on these team transport fantasy trucks and haulers. That’s pretty awesome.
I found these at a Target yesterday. I didn't expect that at all. I'm glad I did though. The AMC might be the best one yet out of all of them. My goodness.
I just found and picked up this set and the new tooned rig, for some reason I feel like they were really old to still be out there, the Lancia is a beaute
I've never scene any team transport be peg warmers. Some may not sale as fast but I've never scene any stay on the shelves. Currently don't have any at my local Wal-Mart and Target stores.
Over time the Team Transport line has grown on me more and more. I'm all in on whatever they choose to do. Only have had 1 bad set imo with the Hoonigan Baja Bug [Yes I still see it warming the pegs.] But overall everything has been super cool.
I'm not a fan of the Hoonigan Bug either, but I liked it earlier when it was white and paired with Wide Open. That didn't stop me from buying the Hoonigan though. I decided way before that that I may as well just go all in on the entire collection, which I did. I still haven't picked up any of this year's set, but I'm thinking maybe some time in the next couple weeks. Overall, I'm pleased with the designs too, but I also think they could have used a few more actual real world trucks. I'd say my favorite trucks are a tie between Carry On, Wide Open (more specifically with the '70 Superbird) and Horizon Hauler. I took the Carry On from the Euro set that has the Porsche 917, Mercedes 300 SL, and the Jag Lightweight E-Type, and paired it with the Nissan Laurel from the Nissan Garage set. The only thing missing are the door gumballs from the Nissan, but they still look fantastic together. They're identical in color, and even have match colored wheels, which makes me wonder how they could have possibly not noticed this and put them together in another set.
Man, I don't have either of those 'MOMO' ColorWay PORSCHEs. 0:53 That's the only one that I want (GULF PORSCHE). 6:27 You love to torture me. LOL! 7:48 I have to find that one as well. And where's the 8 car series PORSCHE SERIES 917? 9:50 I'm still looking for that one.
That's a beautiful Team Transport set. A little biased as I love the Lancia Stratos and this version of the Stratos with the deep dish rears looks particularly good. Not typically a muscle car collector, but the steelies and the completeness of the tampos all around the AMC Rebel Machine really punches.
True Lancia is so better than the Boulevard one, can’t wait to see these here. We heavenly got D case yet, and none of the new premiums. Nice muscle cars there, the AMC is rad!
Ordered the Porsche 917 on eBay. Surprised that the wheels on the car and transport were not the usual Real Riders on all the sets I've collected. Any insight on this?
The reason Mercedes probably doesn’t allow their logo on an unlicensed truck is because they have a successful commercial truck Division already and it would probably have to be under a separate licensing deal.
There are bots posting inappropriate links in your comment section Lamley. I'd recommend making it so no one can post links in your comment section. That should get rid of the bots.
Super low profile tires don't look right on the long-tail. I appreciate the "Hot Wheels"-ness of it all, but on a model that has zero relevance to children, I think it'd be better with more appropriate wheels. Same for the previous Gulf K model, for that matter. Livery looks great, but I think the hippie car from basic is still the best long-tail.
They are peg warmers , no we dont need more old American cars . What we need are sets like "trailer queens" ( Mitsubishi evo, Mitsubishi eclipse, Subaru sti, Mazda rx7 and more ) these cars are notorious for being on a truck or in a shop . Another set could be "track stars" ( Hondas; all of them , you could stick the new supra and the gulf GTI in) ... what they keep doing is giving us these lame ass race cars we are in the age of "street", let's have a camero with a drag wheel in the back a supra and and some BMW with some thick rubber in one pack force us to buy boxes ....could you imagine you pop a box and there's a set where you get a white viper , a white NSX and a white EVO and the chase is a black 911 ? All done in street spec ?
