Good round-up / reference video of the variations for Hot Wheels Hakosuka Skyline collectors to check their inventory off against. I need the latest Roy De Guzman version and maybe that Boulevard variation with / without black wheel flares. Thanks buddy = )
I only have one of the black versions, a "Kaido" & the latest RDG- I am struggling sometimes to find a good, clean tampo version as so many are poorly printed or the paint is still wet when put in the bubbles. This means some are leaving paint spots on the plastic.
Nice turn table for displaying the Skylines. Do you mind sharing where you got it or what you used for it? If not totally understand, but have tried something similar for our tournaments without success so far.
I got one imported last year (2018) from the US with the other F&F model set, but have sacrificed a tatty DeGuzman mainline, so customised a loose "F&F" with rubber tyres axles for myself. While it was opened up, I fashioned it a passenger front seat, so it's the only twin seater in my Hakosuka collection. Have just got myself the 2019 Nightburners version today as well! I've left one of mine unpainted, so I can unscrew it, give it a superpolishing and then re-assemble the car. I do only wish they had made a variant with the double headlights and chrome grille trim.
I am absolutely dumbstruck that the red Kaido is considered rare!!(?) Three years ago, there was a discount store in our city here in Eastern England that was selling this model, plus the purple "Drift" R34, Woody, 55 Nomad, VW Scirocco and Dodge Charger) for £1 each (approx $1.30)!!! The fact the Kaido was in an abundance, makes it somewhat frustrating that I didn't buy a few more spares!!
