Just got my pick of them at wallyworld earlier today. I left the i8, the FJ, and the Corvette on the peg. The Porsche, Gasser, Jeep FC, and Suburban are my picks in order of priority. All very cool.
Matchbox is doing a great job. The Jeep FC is excellent, but I am very disappointed with the pin that is in the middle of the cabin, why they did not change the method of attaching the cob base to the body of the vehicle, and also why they do not change/fix the post in the Hatchbacks and Station Wagons?
Great Vid.. I love the Range Rover, got it just a few days ago and MB nailed it! From the next mix, the FJ was a casting I drooled over but the size really dissapointed me so I gave away the blue model. What i'm expecting the most out of the next mix is the Ford Bronco!
I’ve been really trying to focus strictly on HW in order to keep my die cast budget under control. MB is making a great case for having some of my die cast money to be diverted to them. I like all of these and want the majority.
So glad Matchbox has improved and are now equal in Quality to Hot Wheels! Makes the hobby that much more enjoyable! If anyone has a unique method of displaying in the package, please let me know! Thanks
The Jeep reminds me of the old Matchbox Atlas dump truck I had as a kid. This was a great wave, and the case only has one repeat, the Corvette, which was good because one of them had a defective window piece. I have never seen the opening parts series in stores, I always get the cases.
Great series but again distribution is just ridiculous! I'm thinking stores get 1 or 2 cases of these and if you don't get them, you don't get them and that's SAD! I did not get many of these out of store. The black Monte Carlo was non existent in my area and the gold one I picked up at a flea market for double retail! It is really ashame because these are what most collectors want, especially if their done right and you know the ones that are the best because the ones that aren't usually are the ones left over on the pegs. So either stores have to order more or Mattel needs to send more! The whole hunting thing is really getting ridiculous because of gas prices and for Mattel to not understand that and send minimal product is a slap in the face of the consumers!
10:03 I can't believe that I missed the 1st ColorWay of this casting, and now have to hunt for both. 10:30 I have to find all of the releases of that casting before 2019 (that's when I started collecting again).
Porsche is my favorote here, 2nd is the Vette and surprisingly for me since it ks not the kind of stuff i collect, my 3rd favorite is the fire truck, it is a very pretty casting Honorable mention goes to the Toyota FJ, i have the first release and i love it, i just wish they released it in yellow in this mix so it would fit better with the other one
I’ve seen most of these except the ones I want. I did however stumble onto the Henry J gasser. That green lift bed I’d like to have also along with that gold suburban.
Went to walmart the other day and every single one of these were there , 3 or 4 each, EXCEPT for the Porsche and range rover. Same deal with the mountain drifters HW premiums ..of course the scalper favorite ER34 Skyline was the only one absent from the pegs but 4 or 5 Celicas, 3000GTs and Honda NSXs were there. I really can't stand resellers .
Fantastic cars all of them, my favorites are Chevy Suburvan by far and 1961 Jeep in green color, but there is no way to remove this ugly post in the cabin??? Johnny Lightning or Greenlight or M2 Machines does not have it..., saludos amigo👍🏼
I keep passing over the Range Rover, the wheels don't fit the wheel wells and the hood is a different color on most I have seen. I will look for the Porsche though. I passed on the other mix 4 and of course the Porsche was the only one not on the pegs.
Yes, I'd noticed that too and surprised there were no comments on the slightly mismatched color of the hood on the Range Rover. That said, I do like that it's a new model. Hopefully that's just a flaw on this particular review sample.
If I can find that Jeep FC ( Built between 1957-1966) I will be getting at least two PS If Matchbox or anyone else can make some of the old classic Jeeps then why can't they ( or someone else) make a 1961 to 64 Chevrolet Corvair van or Pick up!.
That mazda has to be the most awful looking thing to come out of matchbox in a while. Looks like one of the off brand cars you get at the dollar store. Then your get fantastic looking cars like that gasser and coming soon sky blue pickup.
