Yeah man matchbox is crushing it. Almost everyone comes with painted head & tail lights. To me that means a lot that they come with them. I hate painting them on myself. It’s not that I can’t do. I just shouldn’t have to. There five packs are the best too. Thanks for sharing and have a good day sir.
Cool unboxing. 😎 Thanks for the Matchbox coverage it's always nice to show matchbox some love. 🧡 I got the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and 2004 Mazda RX-8 yesterday @ Walmart. If I see them, I might pick up the green Bronco sport, Volkswagen mk1, Garbage King, Commodore SSV.
That car was actually called the Holden Caprice in Australia! The Commodore was the Chevrolet SS (and the previous generation the Pontiac G8) in the states. Both awesome cars!
The 2023 Ford Police Interceptor Utility is in a Peel Regional Paramedic Services livery. I have a relative who is not a paramedic but he works for Peel Public Health so maybe I ought to get him one of these. (Peel Region is basically the Toronto suburb of Mississauga which is a fairly large-ish city in its own right plus a couple of other big suburbs and some smaller towns.)
It's a great deco to go along with the '63 Cadillac Ambulance, '18 International Ambulance and the '16 Ram Ambulance (which was never released in my area). From what I've heard, the Peel Region Ram Ambulance was only sold in Canada.
Hi, I had to stop collecting for a few years. I was catching up on some of your old videos. It was interesting going back to 2020 during Covid. What ever happened to the matchbox backyard, Ferrari? I was at the convention in LA back in 2018 but you won't remember me lol
I prefer MB over Hot Wheels, but finding them in the northeast is hard. Been stuck on those early cases forever, and we never got the end of 2023 runs.
I picked up the Mazda a few weeks ago Have not seen that shade of BMW yet I got 2 of the Nissan Sentra's and got 2 of the Holden Cars Today i picked up that Black Tesla at VW Suv
Finally they make the holden a civilian street car not using it as a law enforcement vehicle. For the Ford explorer interception police car they made way too many versions from different years I lost track of which one's are the new casting and an old casting.
I just started collecting again about a year ago. Seen myself slowly moving away from mainlines. Other than Hot Wheels premiums lately. I’ve been sticking to the M2’s, Johnny Lightning’s, and the Matchbox main lines, and moving parts. I love me some Hot Wheels but honestly, I like the realism Matchbox has been pulling off for the last year. I just wish they would do more of their superchases. I would like to see Matchbox get more limelight. Not to mention Hotwheel collecting is getting a bit overly competitive where I’m from. I’ve run into a few people that kinda make you want to avoid the Hot Wheels. Every now and then I meet a nice collector and we will share our finds or even trade. I’d like to see them do some Matchbox premiums that have the moving suspension like the old days.
It kinda feels like Mattel is making Hot Wheels more geared to kids, which is fine. On the other hand, it seems like Mattel is shifting Matchbox to be more attractive to older buyers. I'm jealous of how packed the pegs seem to be your way. In Michigan it's been a bit of a peg drought.
Mégane is pronounced "may-gahn" instead of "may-gain". French doesn't have that thing where "mat" and "mate" are pronounced differently. I had the original "Lesney Product" Matchbox cars when I was a kid, including the Lotus Europa. I don't think this is the original casting of that car, it looks different to me. It would be cool if Mattel still had the old molds. I'd love to see more classic '70s Matchbox cars, like the Mini-Ha-Ha. Yes, I bought the Blue Shark when they reissued it, so I guess they do have some old molds.
It's ReNOH MeGANN. The A is pronounced like A, you know, like in all languages except English where it's a spaceholder for 15 different monophthongs and diphthongs.
Matchbox is just giving us more realistic castings than HW the last couple of years. I've noticed hot wheels basics seem to cater more towards kids/ cartoonish designs and Matchbox is more grounded in trying to do honest miniatures with realistic details. Hot Wheels premium is still the best out of all of them, imo.
I think the small case qty's favor Matchbox, gives them time to do real castings vs Hot Wheels 72 count and 40 are unlicensed or fantasy crap. I've bought some Matchbox but the plastic wheel look and feel is meh for me and get more rim designs please.
I think they could really step it up to the next level if they had some better wheel designs, most of them look and feel really cheap (love the classics though! Give us some with metal wheels!... new premium matchbox line?). The quality control is top tier and the tampos are always perfectly aligned. There would be more hype for these if the chases were more relevant, I rarely see people even finding or talking about the super chases.
The rims on that Bronco looks like Methods . Matchbox has a better variety of wheels compared to HW . That’s RX8 looks cool but in reality a terrible car
This holdover nonsense they started with this year is just awful! They need to have new models each case without doing repeats or it renders the models dead or unliked. Just poor idea by Matchbox
5:12 - The Renault Megane : It’s pronounced, “Mehgahn”. And probably the ugliest Renault to have that name. Can’t understand why MBX bothered. I have most these castings already. HW fan until now. Matchbox rules! HWs drools.🤤 Too many “custom” (i.e. fantasy) cars in the HWs lineup today.
