Not a RLC member…don’t see the use. I work, so I can’t be on line to order when these drop an HW doesn’t limit…why give them my hard earned money when the playing field isn’t fair…enjoy scalpers…you won’t be getting any of my cash…don’t collect these until HW finds a fair way for everyone be able to get these
There are way too many people as members now. Besides every account got the opportunity to get 2. Back in 2019, when membership was smaller and cars were numbered and limited they sold out even quicker.
Getting to see all the RLC I have on pre-order and back order. BTW I found that using a Dollar Store bamboo utensil holder is perfect for displaying RLC acrylic cased cars. The box cover sits in the back and the car in the case then site in front. I store the plastic bits in the box cover. You get 3 cars in each $4 CDN case.
The earlier Mangusta had a 289 cubic inch Ford motor and the later Mangustas were fitted with the 302 Cobra motor. Most of the the ones which came over to the United States had the 302. The Panteras had the 351 Cleveland Ford motor.
After removing the rubber bands off of some old collector cars as carefully as possible and still having major paint damage I'm fine with whatever they can do to prevent that. Speaking of, I get to go through that again with 2 cars I ordered recently.
They use the clear plastic insert instead of the rubber band now. For example the old bmw m3 had a rubber band, the new red one has the plastic insert.
Love the fact that the rubber bands are gone. I removed the bands from the blue M3 immediately and still have ghosting. The Monte is amazing but I really don't like the mountain dew green. Didn't like it on the Camaro last year, and still dont like it.
I cant believe how many cars I skipped from the RLC this year. I did however get everything I wanted that they had so that's good. I almost bought more from the Matchbox collection this year than RLC. LOL!
That green Jaguar really should have had the more classic spokes wheels with the thin white wall kinda skinny tires that came on one of the last ghost busters ecto1 car or the silver 007 DB-5(not shot up version), Miami vice black Ferrari convertible and a few other premium releases. The ones on it dont look right, would look better on something newer. Same exact wheels I mentioned for the Jaguar, the red Mercedes needs aswell! Unless HW is going for some pro touring type of look, then its ok i suppose. Its just that they are very stock looking and the old classic style spokes but maybe a slight satin or polished aluminum shine rather than a mirror chrome with thin w/w kinda skinny tire would look soo good on these. Maybe these need wheel swaps. 😉
I’m cool with them re-using the casting, but I think a more fitting tribute would be to never have any lighting in it again. Great job on this one and a very respectful representation. Let’s keep it as special as possible.
Hello Lamley I just some new diecast I found at target Jada pink slip the Porsche 997 gt3 it’s amazing detail plus a lot moving part. You should review
Personally, i think they could've did a better job with the Chargers front "recessed grille", its much more pronounced in any of the shared years for that body style run 68, 69, and 70. Its a small detail but significant to the styling of this car. They have it virtually flush with the hood. Thats unfortunate!
I think the shallow grill is a limitation for tampo. Even on Lamley's example you can see the gold showing between the black and silver of the grill. Any deeper and there would be a large space of color showing. And imagine the quality complaints then.
I heard that DeTomaso wanted to produce a car that could beat the Cobra at the face track. Well, what beats a Cobra snake? A mongoose, or in Italian, a Mangusta
