It takes me back to my teenage days while I waw still innocence. While "Going Back To My Roots" was driving everyone crazy in black townships of South Africa, I used to play & sing along to this song.
I used to have this record in 1977 and lost it along the way. I've been searching for it, all the time thinking it was done by Walter Jackson. But I found it.
If you don't think there are any good artists out nowadays you just haven't listened to enough modern music. You must be miserable letting your personal tastes dictate you deserves credit for their hard work and who doesn't
It is all a matter if interpretation. Since I am not a junkie, my mind would say it's about a woman. If it is about being drug addict, then those who are enslaved by it, will readily identify it with drug addiction. Marvin Gaye's song Flying the Friendly Sky's is a straight dope fiend anthem.
@@jpat989you would be doing a disservice to the artist to think of it not in the terms he meant it. If you can’t relate so be it. It’s still a great melody but the artist had long since spoken of the true meaning of the song.
