just a quick how to with the LAMXD 10oz yarn winder. Also please ignore the mess in the background. I just got done putting my 5 yr old twins to bed and haven't made it to cleaning up the day's disaster yet.
Thanks for explaining how you set up and use the yarn guide. It should have been in instructions. It was difficult to see that the wing nut should sit on top of washer.
Thank you for your video. It helped so much! I understand the twin part. I have been watching my twin grandkids for five years now. They will be six in March.
Wow! This is great. I have the small version I don’t like it. The yarn always gets tangled underneath and around the wheel it’s so annoying. I’m going to try this one. Thank you so much for making this video.
@@felicityhall1595 do you have any suggestions for the wing nut loosening? It keeps loosening and then the tension control goes out of place and tangles :(
@@matcha_moose Hmm..I do not. I've not encountered that issue with mine. Maybe a little teflon tape on the bolt to give it a little something to grip on to?
Mine had some but they were basically useless. I couldn’t make any sense of them. And what videos o could find weren’t this exact one or didn’t go over it well, I did eventually piece it together and figure it out but I was just like it shouldn’t be this hard 😂 and someone on fb asked me about how it was set up and I decided to just make my own video at that point.
Thank you for the tutorial! As a first time user, can anyone tell me where to pull the yarn from when finished? Do you pull from the string that is hooked at the top? Or do you pull from the string on the outside where you finish spinning? I’m new to cakes.
You’re welcome, glad I could help. I always use from the center, but I know that some people prefer to use from the outside. I think it really just comes down to preference. Using from the center though if you’ve used a whole lot out of it you might have to rewind it when you’re done because there might not be enough left inside for it to hold its shape.
It is still working great! Sorry I took so long to reply I must have missed the notification for your comment. But yes, it has held up well and works just as good as it did when I first got it and I have wound many cakes of yarn with it.
