The safari has the best grip in my collection of lamy, Montblanc, pilot, pelikan, twisbi and Parker pens. It's my daily writer and my only critic about it is that the EF nibs (steel&gold) write like a M on asian brands and the ink capacity of the converter is a joke. But I'm probably biased because, as a German, I grew up with lamy pens and learned how to write with a lamy abc.
@@Crazytesseract Lamy still does produce quality goods. I bought my first fountain pen in 2007 with the Lamy Safari. Still works like a charm and I still use it.
@@amoghrajput4338 The Lamy Safari is made of ABS plastic, I believe. If you want a metal version, you can use the Lamy AL-Star which is made of aluminium.
I recently bought a Parker Vector Metallix for daily use just to start with fountain pens after a long gap. There's a charm for fountain pens that certainly attracts people. Great review sir...👏🏻👍🏻
I bought Pilot metropolitian on your reccomendation. I am using it as a daily driver for last 3 months. I love the pen. the only complain I have is it is a bit heavy. 4 days back I dropped it and it stopped working. The I found some nib repair video on youtube and tried it fix it. Surprisingly I fixed it and how it works even smoother. Thats the beauty of a fountain pen. I loved the purchase and it is worth it. Thanks student yard for your reccomendation. Planning to get a Pilot Kakuno as Lamy looks too expensive for me. Waiting for your review. on Kakuno.
I own lamy studio, 2000 and a few safari and in my experience the safari are the best lamy pens. They write all the same, you can buy the gold nibs separately and put them on the safari so it's all about the grip and once you are used to it ever other pen just sucks.

Thank you so much for making this video. I am planning to buy a Lamy safari, but I am not able to decide which nib suits me best. I use JK Cedar 100 gsm for my other fountain pens for daily use (Sometimes I notice a little feathering from my Parker Frontier). I heard Lamy F and EF are scratchy but the M is smoothest of these three. Do I need to worry about feathering and bleed through when I go with M nib on the above-mentioned paper? I use fountain pens for long writing sessions and I prefer nibs that writes smooth as well as compatible with 100gsm paper.

Kaustubh Shekhar 1 second ago i use parker beta premium gold and parker vector standard. you should prefer vector for a simple and smooth pen. parker frontier for premiumness in a budget. and for the utmost premium feel, get the sonnet by parker. There is actually a reason why i dont carry this pen to school. One of my friends had got his pen recently and has lost it in 2 months as someone took it when we were in the computer class room
Please don't take expensive pens to school. Even if it doesn't get stolen, or lost there is no possible way it would survive a week without falling or getting damaged.

Dude I recently discovered your channel and really appreciate your reviews I would request to compare the best ball pens and dot pens in the market.And also fountain pens below or around the 500 mark.
There r many Chinese knock off of this specific model... They r better than the original...I can say this coz I have used lamy but it's way more expensive for students...An ideal student pen should be cheap affordable so that if lost ,student can buy it again.. Although the quality is not as same as the original...

HEY Please tell me one thing. Have you dipped your pen in ink or put some extra ink on its nib before writing it on notebook? Because i have used 2 safaris and tried too many on shops but not pen writes wet like this. Yeh ink flow bahut zayada hai . maine bahut try kiya hai but kabhi bhi nahi mila hai mujhe. Na tho mere wale itna dark likte hai na he maine jitne bhi shops par try kiye hai. Extra fine nib tho itna dark and wet likh he nahi sakti I guess. Apne pen ko ink maine dip karke likha tha? wo itna dark kaise hai. Kya aap sirf cartridge use kar rahe the? Please reply
I am just going to order this one and also thinking to order ink as well. But i am confused with ink color to order in blue. Can you please help with the ink color in blue? There are color like T10 blue and blue black. Which color cartridges are those in the video. Also any other better option than this lamy safari? Is there any other better option for ink than the one available with lamy?
