This is one of my favorite Lana songs first time I have heard this and I LOVE it !!! the innocents lost with the music sounds going in and out gives this song movement . She would dig this .

I do not know if it is what author of this song meant, but I imagine the meaning of this as: Garden symbolize: some poor, but glamorous and vital geographical area or town with military unit and factories in it. Monsters symbolize: low-rank soldiers in the military, who got to date the girls in the town. Gods symbolize: high-rank military personal and rich civilians in the town, who were not allowed to engage in any romantical relations, but lived very freely and glamorously compared to monsters, were served by monsters and got to command monsters. Angels symbolize: girls in the area, who were poor and needed stuff they got from monsters.
