Natasha Estrada I was talking about that for six hours with this one girl in a group chat. We came up with an entire season and backstory for her. I’d like to see her play a villain. Maybe a killer nurse who’s related to James Patrick March from season 5 of AHS. She could be his daughter or something like that. I’d want it to be set in the 60s.
+Nico H, Haha, that made me smile! And I must say I have Abel (The Weeknd) to thank for my getting to know Lana & her music - she's quite the masterpiece in a kind of other-wordly realm, & I noticed immediately that in that pot of what she's cooking up 'for the kids', she tossed in some X♥O. Looking forward to this album! :)
Isn't it interesting that in her first album Born To Die, on the first track Born To Die She said "Feet don't fail me now, take me to the finish line" Now her newest album Lust For Life, the last track Get Free She said "Finally, I'm crossing the tresshold"
@Flávio Igor ride: I've got a war in my mind Get free: sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind California: I've heard the war was over if you really choose
Off to the races: He says he thinks it's what he might like about me, admires me, the way I roll like a Rolling Stone. Dance till we die: It's kinda hard to find love when you're used to rollin' like a Rolling Stone.
gothboyclique • 1:28 those symbols are: the galaxy: the mv of love the XO: it’s the weeknd logo (lust for life song) the eagle: is the logo of sean lennon discography (tomorrow never came) the moon: i guess it’s the stevie nicks song “sisters of the moon” (beautiful people beautiful problems) i think it’s what it mean
born to die i.e born to dye.. change form! now with a lust for life from that drastic change! fuck she is an amazing artist. so fucking authentic and nostalgic 😩😍
lana is so mysterious, elegant and artistic. she's honestly my biggest inspiration in fashion, photography, cinematography, paintings and music. I just love her so much.
You know, in this town an artist really needs a lot of space when they're trying to create something special. A place to cultivate a world of their own, far away from the real world that's around them. Luckily for me, I live right inside the middle of the 'H' of the Hollywood sign, and this is how I spent most of my nights: perched high above the chaos that swirls within the City of Angels below. Now don't get me wrong, I love to dip my toe into the muck and the mires of the city every now and then, especially on Tuesdays. But truthfully, when I'm in the middle of making a record - especially now, when the world is in the middle of such a tumultuous period - I find I really need to take the space for myself, far away from real life to consider what my contribution to the world should be in these dark times. So each morning I have the luxury of asking myself, "What shall I cook up for the kids today? Something with a little spice? Something with a little bitterness but is ultimately sweet? Or shall I take the day off and turn down the fire, and just take a moment to send my love to them over the ether?" Because sometimes just being pure of heart, and having good intentions, and letting them be known is the most worthy contribution an artist can make. So, even though these times can feel a little bit crazy, they're not so very different from what other generations have experienced at one time or another before. Amidst all the uncertainty, and as we transition out of one era into another one, there's no place I'd rather be than smack-dab in the middle of 'Hollyweird' making this record for you. Because you and the music, and this place are my love, my light, and my lust for life.
i can't believe we live in such blessed times where Lana Del Rey is still pumping out masterpiece track after track, albums after album. her previous albums are still making ripples to this day. her music is what i like to call ..relevant. to me she's bigger than any other artist. i love everything Lizzie has shared with us.
Have you ever listened to her older, pre-fame music from when she was Lizzy Grant and May Jailer? They're all hit songs... Check out "Back to the Basics" by Lizzy Grant. It could've been a single back then. She was so young. All of her songs are so great!
"They will come for your children". Don't you just love religious nutcases? Remember who you come from, your kind burned innocent women in the Dark Ages out of pure ignorance.
No, she actually recorded that monologue on her phone. Clark Jackson (the director of this video) said it in an interview. I suppose they recorded it again when they did the video, but they didn't change a word.
idc what anyone says, i think this is my favorite album... it was made with so much love, her love letter for us, i love how the album has a piece of every genre in it just because she wanted to give us something before transitioning to her new ballads. i jst cant help but love it all, specially because this was the first era i got to experience from the start with her, so im really really attached to it. ❤️
That’s what I’ve been saying! So nice to see someone else gets it. Many people say LFL is messy and all over the place and too long, but like you said it’s because there’s a little bit of everything from BTD up until that point. If you notice carefully the album is split into 2 parts; first half is classic Lana (Love sounds like BTD, Cherry sounds like UV, 13 Beaches sounds like HM)… Coachella is the middle part, good placement because I think the instrumental gives BTD style vibes, however the lyrics are more folk and “new” Lana. The second half are more folk/acoustic style, piano ballads like what we hear now. The first half was a farewell to “Lolita-sad girl-old hollywood” Lana, the second half was introducing us to NFR, Chemtrails, pretty much Lana’s music today.
When Lana created this album she was at a moment in her life, where she was finally happy and that's why it received so much hate from her fans. They wanted the sad girl lana. But this album has changed so much in me. And to be honest: This is lanas best work. The production, the aesthetic and the beautiful lyrics make this album so perfect. It just blends so good together and creates an atmosphere of happines, a lust for life.
What shade??? Are you sure that's what she meant......? Tuesdays are days of lunar phases... And she's been showing a lot of interest in planets and the galaxy ever since she released LOVE. I think it has to do with the new theme for the upcoming album.

Every Word in this monologue is so beautiful.. if this album would just be made of monologues like this with her voice... i swear i would buy it...
I feel like the monologue is so synchronized with the face that I forgot she's not moving her lips. It so weird, like almost looking at myself in the mirror while thinking...
Jesús Francisco Meneses Vera she'd make an amazing actress because she knows how to convey so much emotion simply through facial expression and no words.

I'm so excited!!! "Lust for life" was a film that came out in the 50s based on a book of the same name, and it was a biography of Van Gogh. If she includes Van Gogh inspired lyrics in this album I will lose my mind, Van Gogh was such an amazing artist
Hunter Barratt lana in twitter (Feb 24) shares some dates: March 26 April 24 May 23 In March 26 she confirmed the collaboration with The Weeknd. and "May 23" is Tuesday!!
Clarke Alexandria Perhaps it has not specifically referred to trump, because are only dates of lunar phases; and this album is going to be very conceptual.
Happy six years of this trailer! I can’t believe we really got a political, witchy, trap era all at once with lust for life it’s such a gem in her discography
Damn I love her voice: "Each morning, I have the luxury of asking myself: What shall I cook up for the kids today?" My life would be nothing without Lana del Rey
Where I think all of Lana's albums take place: Born To Die: New York City Paradise: Arizona Ultraviolence: Los Angeles Honeymoon: Miami Lust For Life: Hollywood
leaked demos of the lust for life and love are withcy. i still dont get why she ripped that off. there is even a concept album art video for that by a fan lol
I'm glad that I'm a lana fan, even this monologue isn't a song it made my day everytime i listen to it. Also she didn't use any voice effect dhe recorded her voice from phone and it's still iconic. i dont really know how my life would be without lana she saved my life and made me a strong person i wish i can see her one day it'd be the best day ever love you mom i hope this era bring the happiness to you and us bc you're our lust for life honey ly💓
You've been manipulated by her demons into thinking your life is saved and happy. The truth is the devil is collecting millions of souls from her music.
